With parents and guardians, its because we understand just being a good one is already great and rare by the world’s low standard. Abusive and horrible parents exist. These mf lower the standard, giving their children a horrible future and a horrible example on how to parent. You can be obese and love your body AND want to get healthier. Body positivity is not about being okay with being unhealthy. But an obese or otherwise unhealthy person shouldn’t hate their body, that isn’t healthy either. Loving your body and wanting to be healthy are not mutually exclusive☺️

I experienced the reverse of this. I've been devastated with sabotage and betrayal that's had a serious impact on my health. My dad is getting old and his health has been bad a long time. I want to get past this period and actually do the good in the world that I need to do, while my dad is still alive to see it.

I used to treat my eyes horribly with contacts. I would put them back in without cleaning them when they fell out and I wouldn't take them out when I slept. After doing this for about a year and a half I went in for another eye exam. The doctor told me it looks like I've been wearing contacts for 50 years, and he's never seen this much damage on the eyes of someone as young as me. He told me I could very well get a serious eye infection and go blind if I keep this up. As guys, we often feel like we can just push through the pain and we'll be fine. No. Listen to your body, it's trying to tell you something.
@thomasjackson77852 жыл бұрын
Quickest way to get most peoples attention is to use the keys to life (kids, wife, husband etc the list is extensive). Most will listen to someone using those with a no bullshìt approach. Special note: If it's not life threating? Then don't use the above as you could end up in hospital or worse. You have been warned.

Yup I had this used on me when I wasn't taking care of myself and my diabetes numbers were awful. My Dr said to me do you want to be there for your sons wedding? Do you want to be able to have a mother and son dance? Because if you don't get these numbers under control either you won't have legs to dance or you will be dead. That hurt to hear but smacked some sense into me. I started eating better working out making sure I take my meds. Since then my AC1 levels have never been higher than a 5.
