I remember following along with your death rider painting tutorial back in the day, your channel and TemplarsCrusade01 were basically the only people doing consistent (and with in focus cameras) Krieg youtube content ~10 years ago. Definitely was a big inspiration for me to start collecting the army. I'm eager to see what GW comes out with for the upcoming plastic range. The FW models are lovely, though they are showing their age nowadays, especially because FW doesn't seem to maintain their moulds as often as they should.

Thanks for the comment. TemplarsCrusade01 really blazed the path for many of us in those early KZbin days. Glad to have been of some inspiration to you. I’m also looking forward to the new plastic range and yeah I agree these old kits are certainly showing their age. I just acquired a huge lot off eBay and they’re all old FW kits so there will be much more of those old school videos in my channel soon! Thanks again for writing and for watching my videos!

Really good models, but why did you get them right before the death korps of krieg refresh?

Thanks for watching. I thought it would be nice to remember the humble roots of the Death Korps before we can get them in glorious, EASY TO ASSEMBLE plastic!

Also some of us aren't a fan of the new models. The old ones are more detailed, and have a nicer design than the KT. Probably going to be the same issue with the rest of the new Krieg.

@JayJapanB I’m filming a series of video tutorials for alternate color schemes using the transfers in the kill team box to to represent the other regiments that were at the Siege of Vraks. Painting up these old resin lads after painting up a few plastic kill teams, I gotta say, there is a charm and an authenticity to the FW kits that is just not in the plastic. Could be the different scale, or the weight and feel of the resin. More research must be done…
