@@soramirez5473 MJ's career record against Bird was 11-17 His career record against Hakeem was 10-13 Just saying. Want to dive in more about Hakeem and how much Hakeem actually scared MJ every time they had to play against one another. (MJ himself back then mentioned how much he worried about facing Hakeem) They faced each other in the 80s and 90s. Both decades, Hakeem had the winning record over MJ. I always hate when people automatically assume that MJ would have won 2 more rings if he had never left. Despite the fact he would have had to face the one team that he always had trouble with. He never won 3 games in a row against the Rockets, and only twice was he able to beat that team twice in a row. While Hakeem defeated Jordan three times in a row twice, and two times twice. And Hakeem's best years statistically were of course those years he won the championships. Now I am not saying also that Hakeem would have automatically still won those titles if he faced Jordan those two years. What I am saying is, that given how much problems Jordan and his teams always had when facing Hakeem, it would have been interesting to have seen. People can't bring up, "Jordan would have won because he always improves his game in the playoffs and finals." You know why...Because Hakeem did the exact same thing come playoff times. His numbers improved just as good as Jordan's numbers did on his end.

Jordan played to win. He wanted to block the big guys. He wanted to deny you the ball. He moved without the ball. He tried to give the crowd a special moment every game. He took all the blame, and credited his team for success. He didn't play for numbers, those came as a result of his passion for smashing the challenge. There's no flopping in his repertoire. LeBron can shoot the 3 better than Jordan could and has about a .1 over Mike in career field goal percentage. However Michael was much better at getting to the foul-line, and making free throws. Daniel Parker really dude. If Kyrie didn't get injured this year they would be playing the Warriors and not Cleveland. Those trash teams he had in Cleveland before LBJ came back wasn't his fault. What I heard 1 time MJ said in practice, they will play scrimmage when he dominating his team and make a big lead to the other team but at the half coach will put him to the other team and trying to close the score or surpass the score. So MJ mentality is always closing the gap of the score.

Sigh...If MJ played today he would be a great 3 point shooter. His technique was flawless, and he was the type of competitor that became better every year by improving the facets of his game that would have the greatest impact. He would have stayed in the gym for an entire summer and emerged a sharpshooter from distance. Lebron's stats are a product of no rim protectors and an offense that always surrounds him with three point sharpshooters. Therefore a wide open lane, no rim protectors and single coverage. Just have a look at his shot chart, mostly bully ball to the rim. Jordan threw up the numbers he did being double and triple teamed his entire career, no three ball to jack his ppg, and rpg, far fewer shots taken overall, and a paint full of 7 footers waiting for him. He would average 40+ per game in today's game at his peak.

Only specialists like Steph's father, Dell, really worked on that shot. But as we saw in Game 1 of the 1992 Finals, Jordan could make it rain if he wanted. He actually did it to prove a point, that Drexler wasn't a better shooter than he was.

There’s been a lot of noise lately about LeBron perhaps passing Jordan as the G.O.A.T. There’s no doubt that LeBron is all-time great - in my opinion, there’s a solid argument that he might land at #2 on that list. But when the numbers are laid down, sorry kids...it ain’t close. From a post on KSR: Jordan vs LeBron Updated after Lebrons 14th season. Michael Jordan has: •3 more rings •3 more final mvps •1 more DPOY •1 more season MVP •9 more scoring titles •3 more steals leader •3 more all defensive team selections •4000 more points / bron moved past him in playoff points, but it took him longer. •800 more steals •Beat 20 50+ win teams in the playoffs (Lebron only defeated 10) •Jordan never averaged less than 40% Field Goal in the finals Lebron did it twice •6/6 (never allowed a game 7) •Lebron had much more offensive help, example: Jordan never had a teammate average more than 22 points in the finals.. In fact, Mj is Only player in NBA history to lead a team to the championship with only one teammate averaging double figures in scoring * In the Bulls’ 1997 playoff run, Scottie Pippen averaged 19 points per game on 42% shooting. All other teammates of Jordan averaged under 8 points per game Kyrie averaged over 28 and DWade averaged more than 26 •MJ never ever had a finals meltdown like Lebron in 2011 against the Mavs •MJ had more points in the playoffs in less games.. MJ accomplished all of this in 13 seasons Lebron after his 14th season, is still chasing the “ghost (GOAT) that played in Chicago” •Michael Jordan in the playoffs has put up atleast 40ppg, 5rpg, 5apg in 6 different playoff series. Along with an average of about 55% shooting, 3spg and 2bpg. (86 vs bos, 89 vs cavs, 90 vs philly, 92 vs Miami, 93 vs Phoenix, 88 vs cavs) Jordan won every one of those matchups except for the 1986 matchup vs the celtics. •Jordan in 88-89 averaged 32ppg, 8apg, 8rpg, 3spg off 54% shooting. LeBron has never even came close to this stat line. •in 87 thru 92, MJ averaged 5 straight seasons of atleast 51% FG shooting. LeBron has never done this. •the lowest FT% MJ ever shot in a season was 78%. Lebrons highest in a season ever is 78%. •MJ has a higher playoff FG% of 48.7% to Lebrons 48.3% •MJ has a higher playoff player efficiency rating of 28.6 to Lebrons 27.3. •MJ shoots a higher playoff 3 point percentage of 33.2% to Lebrons 32.9% •LeBron James has scored 30 points, 416 times in 1,117 games. Michael Jordan did it 562 times in 1,072 games. Jordan won 6 championships without losing a final in 1,072 games and LeBron in 1,117 games has lost 5 times and has only won 3 times (updated 2018) •MJ also shocked the league by being the first (and only) player to have 100 blocks and 200 steals in the same season, then turned around and did it again the next year.. •Mj also has more career blocks (893) than Lebron James (853) despite playing in 22 LESS career games and being the smaller guy. Also, MJ averaged 1.6 blocks per game in the 1987-88 season which is absolutely bonkers for a 6’6″ shooting guard. Seriously this list can keep going. This isn’t even a debate. Mj is the GOAT. MIchael Jordan: •NBA record 5 playoffs series’ averaging atleast 40ppg •Only player in history to lead league in scoring and win DPOY •Highest scoring average, points per game, in any championship series: 41.0 vs. Phoenix Suns, 1993 NBA Finals •Only rookie in NBA history to lead his team in four statistics (1984-85) •Only player in NBA history to lead the league in scoring, win Most Valuable Player, and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season (1987-88) •Only player in history to average at least 30pts 6reb 5assists And 2 steals per game AND HE DID IT 7 TIMES. •Only player in NBA history to win Rookie of the Year (1984-85), Defensive Player of the Year (1987-88), NBA MVP (1987-88, 1990-91, 1991-92, 1995-96, 1997-98), All-Star MVP (1988, 1996, 1998), and Finals MVP (1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998) •Only player in NBA history to lead the league in scoring and win the NBA championship MORE THAN ONCE in the same season * He did this SIX TIMES!! (1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93, 1995-96, 1996-97, 1997-98) •One of two players in NBA history to score 3,000 points in a season: 3,041 points scored in 82 games played (37.1 ppg) (1986-87) * Wilt Chamberlain is the only other player to achieve this. •MJ is also the only player in NBA history to score over 40 points at age 40, and he did it twice! •In 1988, MJ earned: Dunk Champ, All Star Game MVP, NBA Scoring Title, League MVP and Defensive Player of the Year. Michael in only ELEVEN complete seasons with the Bulls: -10 scoring titles, -Won Defensive Player of the Year, -9 times all defensive team, -9time All NBA, -5 league MVPs -6 finals MVPs All 11 seasons. Mj has done in 11 seasons things Lebron hasn’t done and won’t do in his whole career… Remind me again...who is the GOAT?

Gadi, jaw dropping or not Lebron is on Magic's level regarding passing. Making the right pass has nothing to do with flashy it has to do with IQ. And lebron has that in the bag. 100 times better, really? Lebron gets penalized for being the passer that he is. And that's one of the greatest passers in the history. Stockton passes weren't flashy either, but I guess flash is what makes you better, and the only reason Stockton is in the hall of fame is because of his passing.
@gabeyoung49076 жыл бұрын
Gadi, lebron is 11th all time. Magic is 5th and only 2000 ahead of lebron. Lebron will be the only player that is top 5 in assist and scoring whe he retires. He's 700 assist behind cp3. And lebron has done this while winning 3 chips and going 9 times to the finals. He'll be the only one of 2 players on top 10 assist list with more one championship. Only hom and magic. I would say lebron is on the same level as magic. Every scout from when lebron played in school until now raved about his passing more than scoring.

Zero zero....that ladies and gentlemen is the key component to the difference between every basketball player ever and Michael Jordan. That level of competitiveness is what truly separates him and what ultimately made him the best.
@jaymo93925 жыл бұрын
MJ dont need to shoot 3 because he can always get and1 anytime he wants.

Jordan didn’t need no 3 ball to dominate..Man averaged 37pts and only took 12 3s that season. 🤯

if they were on the same team, give the ball to MJ and you'll not need LBJ at all..
@bangbang79034 жыл бұрын
Basically LBJ is a Carbon copy of Pippen just slightly bigger in size.
@jaahnnn4 жыл бұрын
In both of their primes, lebron is going to guard the best player on the other team, jordan is going to have pippen guard the best perimeter player. Mj made all defensive teams guarding 6'3 guys while he was 6'6
@raitaylor6 жыл бұрын
Getting so tired of the pushed narrative of "Lebron has no help" bullshit.. People love to bring up Scottie Pippen for Jordan but if they knew their NBA history they know Scottie took about 3-4 years to truly emerge, before that he was soft, quit against the Pistons, shot horribly in the second 3 peat during the playoffs, averaging less than 20 points. Lebron has been grateful to play with better overall talent around, he just lacks the killer instinct of a Jordan to be a closer and come through in the clutch. If Lebron did the Cavs would certainly be up 2-1 in this series.
@marcusbenford84595 жыл бұрын
Yea but jordan didnt even make it pass the first round until scottie pippen came
@stevengomez41985 жыл бұрын
jordan is 1-9 in the playoffs and a career loser without Pippen..stop it
@coreysingleton31185 жыл бұрын
Scottie was 3rd in MVP voting. Won 54 games without MJ and has how many all nba and all defensive? Mj had 6 man of the year on his team tony kukoc. Horace Grant mad all defensive. Rodman man all defensive . Also has THE BEST 3PT % SHOOTER OF ALL TIME. cmon help not even close. Lebron teammates who averaged more than pippen were defensive liabilities and was giving up what they were putting up, pippen was locking down. Scottie 20ppg when score was in the 80-90 is not the same as scoring 20 when the end score is 120 in today's game. Convert pace and scoring
@coreysingleton31185 жыл бұрын
@Ralph Dela croix Bosh? You mean the player who has 1 all NBA and 0 all defensive? Wade? No disrespect but they played 4 years together and that wasnt prime wade, that way injured decline wade. Not to mention Miami was by far the worse team to win a chip in their era. Top heavy af with no coach. Did you just name jr and shumpert? Lol chill. Shump? The man who was on the bench ? Who averaged 3pts in the 2016 playoffs? Oh yeah that's help. Jr ? Lol again not prime JR. Youre focused on recognition of name and not caliber of player. Kuzma and Ingram won how many games last year? Rondo is definitely proven. But what help is he to a player who does what he does? Kyrie is literally the only person you could consider help. And despite being a defensive liability, he was never a defender and made lebron take a step back in usage.
@coreysingleton31185 жыл бұрын
@Ralph Dela croix 91 scottie made all defensive team 92 scottie made all defensive team 93 scottie made all defensive team 93 Horace grant all defensive 95 scottie made all defensive team 95 scottie made all nba 96 Toni kukoc 6th man of the year 96 scottie made all nba 96 Rodman made all defensive 97 scottie made all defensive 97 scottie made all nba 98 scottie made all nba 98 scottie made all defensive Let's fast forward to MIA wade Bosh 0 all defensive 3 all nba(all from wade) Cle with kyrie and Love? 1 all nba (kyrie) 0 all defensive Now u tell me who had more help. Never compare the 2.

Put all of MJ teammates he ever had together and it's only 11 all star appearances not including him...put all of Lebron teammates together and it's 44 all star appearances not including his. Don't tell me lebron never had help or had better teams than Jordan
@baldpnoy4106 жыл бұрын
Yella Boii Two different era's... Allstar voting was different back then too. Can't compare it that way. It takes a lot more to win now. Why you think they called the 90s the expansion era... Talent was spread around. Jordan was never facing teams full of all stars either.
@lilken216 жыл бұрын
baldpnoy410 if you can compare that cause it’s “two diff eras” then you obviously can’t compare the players either.
@baldpnoy4106 жыл бұрын
Makaveli X well yea... But OP going by how many all star appearances by each player had as help... I'm just saying in the 90s you didn't need to build all star teams to win, like the 80s and now. Level of competition was different back then.
@khines29946 жыл бұрын
baldpnoy410, much harder to win now?? They don't play real defense now. You saw what happened to GS when Houston got a little physical with them. If Chris Paul stays healthy they win that series. What would happen if they played the Bad Boys??
@baldpnoy4106 жыл бұрын
Kevin Hines They don't play defense now?... They will probably run those guys off the court. That team is not used to guarding the 3 point line.. Laimbeer will be useless. KD/Curry/Klay will just shoot over those 2 midget back courts. A lot of those teams will struggle to guard teams now. They are not used to guarding the 3pt line. Game was played differently back then.

BJ Armstrong was the shortest player of all the Michael Jordan's era of the Chicago Bulls. He was always consistent with his game and he was also a high level of performer. And as a Chicago Bulls fan at the time, I did appreciate him. I also remember him sticking out his teeth guard a lot of times when not in possession of the ball. Great player.
