Amazing how television always loved showing the 2 of them yelling at each other, but never explained that they don't hate each other, its just one of those things. There was a Parcells / Simms yelling fit they used to show, they didn't make a big deal out of it

Good to hear Coach June Jones…I remember that incident with Jeff who was a hot head but man he threw the football like no other QB.

Great interview. Still a fan of Jeff George & much respect for June Jones.

It's kind of ridiculous, George was coming off an incredible season and before the season starts is told "if you struggle I'm going to bench you." That is just HORRIBLE management.

Yeah sounds like the front office was looking to get rid of him either way. Which in the end they did.

As an Illinois fan I can say I was a fan of Jeff George’s ability. He was just too much of a selfish prick which is why his career went the way it did. Course most young men with success and extreme popularity get a bit arrogant and cocky. If I was a generational talented qb and people worshipped the ground I walked on I couldn’t say I would be a whole lot different

He also looked 45 when he was 23 haha. He actually looks the same now as he did back then. Where were his friends and family is what I wanna know, cuz that early mustache was atrocious haha

Bobby Hebert was no slouch, I'm not shocked that happened. Michigan Panthers, Oakland Invaders, New Orleans Saints. Legit

June has revisionist history...that first game at Carolina was not that close and George struggled that whole game...
