So this dude expects 12 competent people on a jury to believe that he had no intent to kill his wife and that other guy? Then why did he take his gun with him when he went to her apartment? Why did he put a listening app on his daughter's device to listen to what was going on in the apartment? From the time he left where he was to the time he got to Ana's place, he could have reconsidered what he was going to do, but he didn't. He was mad at her because he thought she was cheating, but how about that he cheated on her and threw it in her face saying the other woman was better. You can tell that this guy is unhinged because of the way he talked back to the prosecutor. He is a narcissist that has low emotional intelligence and he wanted to control Ana when she didn't comply with his irrational demands. He should be found guilty of 1st degree murder without a doubt.

That's what I thought too when I first heard he would take the stand. I'm sure his lawyer advised against it because any lawyer worth their salt would see that to do so would be detrimental to their client. But if the client wants to take the stand, their lawyer can't stop them. He probably thought he could sound sympathetic to the jurors but he just sounds like a jealous, unhinged control freak who flipped when he couldn't have his way.

Here is how the verdict will go down. Deliberations will take 10 minutes, basically they need to settle into the jury room and sit down, maybe pour some water. Then they vote. Once they tally the votes and count 12 Guilty of First Degree Murder, then it will probably take another 15 minutes for the foreperson to fill out the jury verdict forms. Then they will inform they have a verdict. The entire process will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

That’s a good point. If you’re even contemplating allowing this person to possibly get out of prison again, he’s admitting in court that he cannot control himself from murdering his romantic partner if he feels jealous, or can’t handle them being with another person after he breaks up with them.
