One thing they did mention was that the new Crew BP rules only affect subscriptions started past December 1. So those that bought crew in November expecting to get two full battle passes will have their expectations met. At least that's my understanding of that clause

​@timi0276 from what I've read is, if you sub before dec 1 you'll get the battle pass and even if you're sub ends you'll still be able to claim premium bp rewards, as long as you don't re-up because it will then consider you a new sub under the new rules. The passes that will be included under the new rules like festival and lego, and probably og will fall under the new rules(premium requires sub) regardless of when you subbed to crew. Tldr: if subbed before dec 1st, br bp is safe , all other passes require sub for premium unless bought

The only problem with this is now you pretty much gotta finish the BP in one month to make the most bang for your buck from one sub. For people who constantly sub this won't be a problem. The new strat to maximize your Crew sub is this: get to level 200 or whatever the highest level is for Chapter 6, then a day or so before the season ends, buy Crew, claim all rewards, and then you'll have 29 days or so to finish next seasons BP. Definitely possible if you somewhat AFK Lego and creative maps. Only problem is OG seasons, since they last monthly so if you want to get them all the time, buying it with v bucks is probably your best bet.

If they increase the crew pass a lot of people (myself included) would unsubscribe. As much as I’ve seen people complain about the skins and variants being mid I don’t think the new stuff would be enough to keep people if they increased the price. Right now crew pass is roughly 75 ish USD value for 12 per month. They are adding roughly 30-40 dollar value jumping crew up to just around 100 dollar value and still for 12 per month. Those numbers aren’t exact only figures up by using independent average prices of each item you get

something of note is that if you buy the BP and want to get the 1,000 back for buying crew, you only have 14 days. So if you buy the pass, then buy crew 15+ days later, you won't get that thousand back.

Jake, I agree that Fortnite Crew is a good value. Having said that, there is something that is kind of scummy that your viewers should be aware of. You cannot change the payment method on Fortnite Crew. You have to cancel your membership and renew with a new credit card, which I am assuming cancels your progression on the existing edit style skins. So don't buy it with a prepaid debit card or something that will need to change card numbers.

If i do that, I will still maintain the old crew benefit for having access to the premium battle pass for all the Chapter 6, season 1? I grinded for 4 seasons to earn enough Vbucks to get my first battlepass. After that, I have always had enough Vbucks from the battlepass to get the next seasons battlepass as well as a few extra Vbucks to save. I save all the extra Vbucks for anything i may want in the store. This way you don't have to spend any money on fortnite. :) All you need is patience.

With the passes progressing with all together by earning, xp this is a dub. Separately, all the passes cost 3800 that's way more than $11.99. They're cutting it off at 30 days so they're not losing as much money to ppl gaming the system. Ppl need to stop whining. I'm ultra casual and finished my passes in a couple weeks. It's a non issue.

But the monthly subscription is optional. It would be completely different if you were required to get it. I started in the wrecked season and didn’t buy the battle pass and only unlocked a few things and then those weren’t the best things. The next season I bought the battle pass and unlocked more then I decided to sub to crew after sitting down with my wife and looking at its value verses our budget. And 12 dollars? That’s basically one meal at a Wendy’s or some restaurant and it’s only once a month. We spend that easily if we go out. Now if it were required it would be different. Like these phone apps that claim they are free to download but then once you get them it wants your credit card info after your 7 day free trial
