I am watching from the U.S. I made my first trip to London this past May and had afternoon tea at F&M. Such a wonderful store! These videos are my way to feel transported there. Thank you for making them!

Where in the US are you from? F&M is a lovely building and store. Whenever I go into the store I can’t help buying the delicious clotted cream and pistachio biscuits. I love them 😋 I’m glad you enjoy watching my content and thanks for the support! 🤗

@@josatkin I’m in New Jersey, just across the Hudson River from New York City. I brought back a suitcase filled with tea and biscuits. I also ordered more tea and shortbread once I arrived home. I will have to order those biscuits with clotted cream. They sound divine!

@@iveguilla oh nice. Did you have a fave tea you liked? I would recommend the clotted cream ones especially if you like an afternoon tea. The biscuits are quite small but a nice little treat 😋

@@josatkin I have tried a bunch and the top ones for me are Earl Grey Classic and Royal Blend. I am a coffee drinker but since I have returned from England, I am a nearly daily tea drinker in the afternoon. The biscuits are never big enough! 😂

What you don’t eat, will they box it for you to take home? My hope is to have tea at F&M soon.
@josatkin Жыл бұрын
Hi Christine, yes you can take some things home with you. I’ve been with friends before and they have also done that too. I have previously had to also cut short an afternoon tea at F&M a few years ago due to a meeting I had and the staff were amazing and arranged a lot of the afternoon tea for me to take with me. It was really lovely of them. Hopefully you will get a chance to go there soon as it’s a lovely area to relax and enjoy.

I am so glad you mentioned that they ship to NZ because I have been wanting to place an order and I was worried about delivering so far away from UK. I am quite obsessed with the F & M brand ❤️ thankyou...
@josatkin Жыл бұрын
Hi LadyKiwi_NZ, yes it's super handy they deliver to NZ. You have to pay a delivery fee which is £40 so I often do a large order so it's worth the cost of the delivery charge 🤗 I know some items can be restricted or the quantity of them but you will be advised when you add them to the F&M cart and checkout your order. I would recommend not getting any F&M custom gift boxes that have magnets in the lids on them as it can sometimes be stopped/delayed at NZ customs end. I have linked a F&M unboxing in case you wanted to see more. F&M unboxing - bit.ly/3FSsLsv

Is there a time limit for a reservation? Going to London in a few weeks and hoping to try something like this for my 1st time in London (+bday celebration!). By the way, thanks for sharing your experience through these videos!
@josatkin Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed the video. If you’re planning on doing an afternoon tea now as I would book now as the reservations can often get fully booked especially at weekends. You can usually book about 3 months in advance. I always go on the weekday as it’s easier for me and a bit quieter. I hope you have a lovely time wherever you decide and a great birthday. You can often pre-order a birthday cake at afternoon teas too as they often have celebrations/special occasions happening.

@josatkin Жыл бұрын
Hi rich Mck, The footage is from St Pancras Train Station in London. It's one of the main hub train stations in the centre of London. You can get the Eurostar from this train station too which is convenient for places like Paris. The train station has many stores inside including a mini Fortnum and Mason store which is really handy if you can't get to the main F&M store. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel. 🤗

Yes I think when you book you can request Halal Afternoon Tea but I would contact them in advance of your booking to double check. I always request certain changes to the afternoon teas I have due to dietary requirements I have and I found them very accommodating. Two ladies sat next to me when I went and they had vegan and dairy free afternoon teas so I think there is flexibility in the options. Also the Fortnum and Mason afternoon tea is bottomless so you can get refills of the food which is great. I would suggest going with an empty stomach :)

You should at least taste the deserts with a tea similar to what you drank in the restaurant. When you pair food with tea, the tea exentuates certain tastes & cancels others.

@Jos Atkin I live in NYC. There are tea rooms here but probably not as many as where you are in. And they have different cultural themes. Ex, Russian, French, Japanese, (etc.) The only one that I've been to is the famous Russian Tea Room where I had dinner. They do afternoon tea also but they have one with lunch foods & the other with caviar.

Hi Scott Brandon, Thanks for watching! I find an afternoon tea in places like F&M are usually about a special occasion/celebration. I've always thought it was something special but doing the afternoon tea playlist I have found some places better than others depending on what you like/want from it. I also think afternoon teas where you receive re-fills of items can give you more bang for your buck too 🤗
