One important aspect of rally cars is to balance the under/oversteer into and out of corners typically under full acceleration. Balancing the camber angles, front and rear sway bars, and the diff balance to get the car to rotate properly through a turn and return to balance on exit is best done by tuning the car by feel as you go.

Just know that as you can stand against existence of the God somebody else can do the opposite. There is no reason for changing anyone's mind, because everyone is allowed to think and believe in what he wants. Above all, in most cases the person who says "Change my mind" most often do not want his mind changed at the first place. Moreover, the person who claims that "This is BLACK!" do not know anything about "The WHITE" and he also do not want to know anything outside that he already knows. Thats why you do not need to argue in the comments about changing your mind. In order your mind to change, you must change. Because you cannot change the mind that is not wiling to accept the change itself. The changing mind is the mind that is opened on all subjects.

@@HokiHoshi Hah! I was just about to ask for a rally tuning guide! I'm trying the same concepts in this video on a rally car and seeing how it goes anyway. Could you also do a tuning guide for drifters?
@xypleth6 жыл бұрын
Hey man, how about instead of rally, do a off-road vehicle guide. Your guides helped me a lot tuning for a stable and agile car, and while an updated rally guide would be useful as well, the same rules don't really apply to off-road buggies and trucks as much. I mean in terms of building a car that takes a lot of abuse from jumps, while still being stable and absorbing the smaller debris. Thanks!!

Excellent video - loved your first one too - VERY glad to see you touched on OSD tools - I dabble in tunes for a very popular track The Goliath and use the East Coast highway to test out tuning running north south many times. Would it be possible to do a more indepth video that uses the OSD tools (maybe with highlights of what you are referencing - had to rewatch this one a couple times to see the camber numbers you were referencing for example, But addressing the nuances of tackling oversteer slippage and skittishness in handling (stock tune of a Countach case in point) would be an excellent example in such a mmore in depth video, Thank you again for doing these - you are a great help!

Hey that's a great video idea! I have a few other plans first but I very well might use that for a video, thanks!

Awesome guide, I followed this for the Mclaren Senna and been lapping 7 mins and 40-41 secs pretty consistently on the Goliath. Thanks so much!!

I think you forgot to mention that the downforce settings also impact over and understeer. too much understeer, and you will want less rear downforce. And too high downforce in the front when you have a low setting on the front anti roll bar can mess with your weight transfer. One thing to remember is that you change something to that part of the car, you will likely need to change something to another part of the car to compensate. I like to use less rear downforce ot compensate for the limited steering lock to make the car turn better, but now so low that i start drifting. just enough to lose enough rear grip to turn harder.
@Medienmechaniker6 жыл бұрын
how will affect rear downforce understeering?
@DJayFreeDoo6 жыл бұрын
if the tires are allowed some slip thanks to reduced rear downforce it will oversteer slightly, but just enough to not actually lose grip and start sliding. the car will turn more.

Just changing my camber alone made my car so much better seriously this guide is the best

Know nothing about cars but after this video I think I'll start looking more into these concepts, sounds so interesting with the level of detail this game seems to go into

Hey, I know I'm 8 months late. But I wanna thank you. Using this video I made a basic tune for a Dodge Dart. Using the same coast circuit as you, I managed 53.038 seconds. Which isn't bad, considering the Dart is a big, bulky classic 60's muscle car normally used for drag racing.

ive watched this one and i have to say.... very well explained! tuning a car to personal preferences has become so easy when using your guidelines. example: my pagani zonda was all over the place, after tuning using your video, i was able to smash the gauntlet with pro drivatars and still have a lot of seconds in lead. thank you so very much!!!!!!
