Forza is far superior, mainly because it has sound effects depending on the environment, unlike The Crew which only has the tunnel effect, another point is that the rotary engine does not have a turbo noise, this is a modified engine thing and in The Crew, the sound of the RX7 is completely turbocharged, in short Forza is more realistic, The Crew pleases fans who do not know the original sounds of the cars (there are certain exceptions in some Forza engines, but The Crew almost all are wrong).

no, they are made to sound crisper and more buff than the normal sound to please the player. Unlike in fh5 where they were recorded from actual cars, hence why the sound somewhat muffled.

I would like to add however that when he's driving in Forza compared to The Crew, the Cars sound different in their respective RPMs, where in Forza he is using manual shift and is letting the cars get into the redline a decent bit. Where in The Crew, the auto shift makes it shift before even touching the redline.

I bought The Crew 1. Half of the races were bugged. I bought the first DLC. Second DLC came two weeks later for the same price and you would get the first DLC for free. Bought the second DLC for the full price again. Some races were fixed, some remained bugged completely. The Crew 2 was announced and The Crew 1 got killed by the devs. I will NEVER go to The Crew ever again and its not because of their bad car sounds.

Motorfest wins easily it’s not even a contest, unlike fh5 you can put 10% throttle and it actually sound like your cruising vs fh5 it constantly sounds like full throttle to the point you rev up to 2k rpm the turbos make full noise.

Forza has such poor sound design (the *fundamental purity* (frequency range) of the of all machine engines is completely destroyed by an incompetent sound designer or developer 👌) that the game becomes a very bad game. No one can change my mind about that, for I can hear every nuance. I currently hate the entire Forza lineup, with the exception of Forza 2 - decent sound design there.
