What a great way to start a day, a fresh hot coffee and a new Stanley Foss video. From the looks of the Then and Now shown in the video I must say that Soda Lake Road could use a resurfacing job. I have read much and watch vids on the history of Taft but never learned some of its history from a Music Video point of view........ Very enjoyable watch......

Yes Soda Lake rd is a super long road. I barely scratched the surface, but you can keep going on it and end up in San Louis Obispo. Thanks for the views and the comment - and enjoy the coffee ☕️!

I love seeing "then and now" of music videos and movies. Now, I have to visit Taft just to see the city and try and figure out why they chose that location.

It’s a quiet town, long stretches of empty straight roads just to get there. Really good burgers at Jacob’s Burgers.

Can often times figure out how you are able to pinpoint different locations (process of elimination, signs, etc.) but how in the world were able to find those two tanks so far away from the original filming location? Amazing job as always! Note: The citizens could rightly without be offended be referred to as Moronians. 🙂

Moronians, I like that 😁 I found an old Reddit sub link from 6 years ago of people trying to find the locations and someone pointed out those barrels as a possible match. They were right! I should have gave that Reddit group a shout out! Saved me a lot of time.
