Found out why the Ford F-350 (5.4) was Idling sporadically and stalling during idle! Super easy fix!

1:55 your missing you clamp for the air box. That's your problem. I had the same issue on my f150 5.4 2v and my 08 5.4 3v had it today.

Hey I have a 2005 f 350 5.4, I had the same problem going on but in my situation the alternator was going out then went out. Swapped alternators and problem with high revving went away

So your air filter clamp was the problem mine is kind of doing the same it will die sometimes at red lights

Hi Tyler, I'm not sure what ticking sound your talking about, but if it was making a ticking noise upon first start up it was because it had sat up for a while and I needed to change the oil. The truck runs amazing and is super quiet. Thanks for watching.

I just got and rv with 1E350 6.8L V10 that started making a tic tic tic tic tic sound last weekend out of no were. and the faster the rpms the more faster the tic sound became. turns out it was a tiny threat that had frayed on the serpentine belt. that was slapping something every time the belt went around its path. snipped it off till i could get a new belt and all was good.

Definitely in the 3V engines. I have dealt with many of the earlier ford 5.4 engines and I never had an issue withe the cam phasers. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the 3V engines.
