Cinema Secrets is a foundation I have had in my kit for many many years. On top of having a great colour range and giving the skin a beautiful finish on camera: Cinema Secrets is also great to have in your kit for long days on set, warm climates, sweaty clients , bridal, and for those times when you need to cover a cut, scratch, or bruise on set. Our model in this video has beautiful skin and the foundation application should enhance that. This foundation application is a great base for a number of looks and will work for model testing and other shoots that require a natural look that will last all day.

I really appreciate every single video that you've posted, like finally a REAL make up artist! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and tips. And i actually just started using Cinema Secret palette recently, before i only used MAC face & body foundation or Estee Lauder double wear foundation. But mixing these Mac & CS together really make your face look so natural. Not too dewy and not too matte. All my clients have been praising the finished looks and i really love how they blend together nicely.

Started my freelance MUA career about a year ago and foundations were really difficult to narrow down because I knew I didn’t want to spend too much money stocking up my kit and carrying individual “high end” foundation bottles weren’t very convenient in price and being mobile as well. So I opted for the rcma and cinema secret palettes after looking at your videos ☺️☺️☺️I can honestly say I’ve basically tossed my rcma to the side (although it is still an amazing foundation) and completely hopped on the cinema secrets bandwagon!!! The foundation finish is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, it does not dry out the skin, it’s super creamy and when set properly lasts all day! Let’s not forget it’s super easy to use. I definitely recommend to those just starting with makeup and don’t have a whole lot to splurge on foundations I promise you won’t regret it ☺️

when you added the concealer around the eye,(time at 4:50)on video, you pulled some color from the end of the pallete kit one concealer and called it 605-61 that is the second one in the palette and is very pink, the one you took color off with the spatula was 607-19 ' i just want to be sure . im doing my first deep skin makeup tomorrow on similar skin as Chloe, and am really paying attention to all your videos, I have learned so much!! Thanks John, I can’t remember exactly what I did but I would definitely encourage you not to follow me step by step with your client tomorrow and do your own thing, I think you will find things less nerve racking that way. Your model might get to set tomorrow and be a completely different undertone which will throw things off for you. If you understand the colour wheel and trust your instincts you will be fine!!!

As others have said, fINALLY A REAL MAKEUP ARTIST ON KZbin!!! Your stuff is AMAZING. I LOVE cinema secrets, I use it on myself all the time, it's my go-to. Was wondering what your go to setting routine is for ppl who get oily later on? I have combo skin and have found that a spray of Ben Nye final seal before application, then CS, then a very light set with RCMA no color powder (too much dries my skin making me oily later) and then a spray of Ben Nye final seal is my best routine that seems to work quite well for retaining that gorgeous CS finish. Any other suggestions on how I can extend its longevity?
@AngieDiB
@AngieDiB 6 жыл бұрын
I don't have an answer for you on that one because it would totally depend on what condition the skin is in before makeup, what I need the final look to be, how long the makeup needs to stay on the skin etc. I don't have a specific pattern of setting combo/oily skin. I like to really pay attention to skin prep first and then work from there.

Hi Angie. Could you please explain why you have Cinema Secrets, RCMA and Face Atelier in your kit for foundation and why you would pick one up over the other for certain jobs? Love your videos so much, thank you. I would love to see a video that explains why and which situations you would choose between the three foundations, that would be amazing xx
@AngieDiB
@AngieDiB 4 жыл бұрын
That is such a complicated answer and this is why I don’t have any videos on the topic. I carry an assortment of finishes, textures, etc because my jobs demand so much variety when it comes to skin finish and one foundation can’t do it all. There is also the issue of shade range and few brands have full shade range. When I choose a foundation for a job I have to look at things like - client’s skin type, texture, tone, desired finished look, shooting conditions, lighting, type of project (photo, video), how long we are shooting for, how many times will I have to touch up and change the makeup, how long I have to prep my talent etc. Because I have been working with these foundations so directly for so many years I understand how they will perform under certain circumstances and that’s how I choose. This decision making process would be very hard for me to breakdown in a video, it’s all from experience!

What is your recommendation for products to use to prep and to set for long lasting makeup using this foundation. Or what have you used that you can say works with CS. I feel like need mainly Face Atelier;p) so ended up with 1st RCMA mixed with Face At. with 2nd only RCMA and whole neck with foundation ;p 3rd Charlotte Tilbury mixed with 4 shades of RCMA hahaha what's wrong with me? hahah I just look at model...than RCMA can see it should work but while swatching no way to suit ;p maybe video with 10 different models and matching rcma faoundation for them would help ;D ;D maybe I just need some system?

Hi Angie! I'm considering getting both the 100 and 200 series palettes to fill out the gap in my kit for deeper skin tones! I was wondering if you've ever experienced any oxidation on the skin with the CS foundation? @AngieDiB 6 жыл бұрын
I think they work well and are very similar in consistency to CS however I find they aren’t as durable on the skin as CS which is why I don’t have them in my kit.
@RachelDoesntknow
@RachelDoesntknow 6 жыл бұрын
They are similar. Some Graftobian colors are more "intense" (unecessarily so IMO but some ppl like that for dramatic photos) IMO they grease up easier. But because of this, some people like them on fine lined skin because they are so slippery. you'll often see three types of bases in foundations: oil based, water based, and synthetic based (like silicone). Your skin will not absorb synthetics the way oils and waters can sink in. Oily skin will dissolve oils, water/sweat will dissolve with water based, and synthetics kind of just sit on the skin stabilizing it and might slip around but wont be dissolved by either. A quick look at the ingredients shows Graftobian's first 3 ingredients are more oil based, whereas CS starts with a synthetic and then an oil as their first two ingredients. This would explain why CS is much more durable, while being still very sweat and moisture resistant. Cheers!

I’m trying to choose between a foundation for my starter makeup kit. Most of my clients are fair skin. Would you recommend purchasing RCMA foundation palette or Cinema Secrets? I’ve been trying to research both, but I can’t decide. I respect you opinion.
@AngieDiB
@AngieDiB 6 жыл бұрын
RCMA and Cinema Secrets are completely different foundations and work differently so it is more about how you like to work - Cinema Secrets does not have a lot of options for really fair skins so in that respect RCMA is a better. I carry both in my kit because I need texture, finish, and application options.
