Thanks Chuck...I hope to do a more detailed video on the business in the coming months. Maybe something like walking a project through start to finish.

Thanks for taking us on a tour of your business. Always nice to see US Manufacturing employing American workers!

Thanks Daniel! We are very fortunate to have been able to survive the "low cost country sourcing" as some of our customers say. When we see some of the pricing from those places, we just cannot understand how its possible. We have had situations where their prices have been less than the cost for just the paint on a part! It has to be huge government subsidies, lack of regulation, taxes...who knows. Anyway...we will keep going!!

Nice operation. I spent quite a few years in a heavy gauge shop as a journeyman sheet metal mechanic back in the day. We never had machinery and tooling like that though, LOL. More like a blacksmith shop! Did a lot of millwright work and built rotational molds.

Thanks Mike!.. It's really amazing to have seen the technology develop over the years. I laugh when my kids look at me in disbelief when I describe life without a cell phone and music only available on vinyl records!

The ee lathe is a great project, but it is easy to get overwhelmed, I am down to two, and both are working. It takes alot of time to repair old machines, easy to put in a couple of hundred hours in one, but more fun then cars, I think. I like the paint and detail work, with no paint on the screws. The factory cost for a new paint job is over 4k.

Thanks!... I really enjoy the process of restoration, especially on machines that are truly works of art and engineering! I think back in the day, they fully assembles, did a little masking and sprayed the whole thing. I prefer the look of individually painted parts and assembling after.

Awesome organization with some very skilled employees. I’m really impressed. It explains how you approached the rebuild of the 10ee and your own skills and attention to detail. Did you grow up in the trade? Really great of you to give us a tour. Thanks, Will

Thanks Will! So actually I didn't grow up in the industry. I started my own engineering company years ago with some friends and transitioned into manufacturing. When our key sheet metal supplier decided to retire and close up shop, we worked out a deal to buy that business. I'll be doing a video of our engineering business in the near future.
