Who is the giver of knowledge? Is it not God? Who is the giver of faith? Is it not God? Who is the giver of love and live Himself? Is it not God? If we lack faith Scripture says to ask God who gives abundantly. Yet "No one can say Jesus is Lord but by the Holy Spirit". We have been created with the gifts God has chosen to give us. Some things are not in our power to change. Some things and maybe all things rest upon Gods granting them. All Grace comes from God. Yet He is tge dispenser of all gifts and all grace. We are at the Mercy of God.

It’s unfortunate that this priest’s use of the term “knowledge” is somewhat confusing. Humanity SHOULD seek after knowledge [about God] and we should do our best to hone our ability to use our gifts of intelligence and reason. It is the object of our pursuits that is important, not our seeking of knowledge. After all, Jesus is the truth. Many people seek out information for the sake of gaining information. And many refuse to accept the truth even after they have found it because they find pleasure in the seeking and not in what must be found.
