Thanks for the video ! Just found this after ordering the cheap mini ELM one for 7$. Now I know what I'm getting and why I'm not an idiot for still wanting the LX or MX+ later on once it's worth it 😁 Loved the video !

Fantastically helpful for me, as this is all new to me. I can't believe it has received so few views & comments! I'm getting this (the *MX+* ) instead of the *EX* for my '11 Ranger for use with FORScan because I don't have a Windows machine and the EX doesn't do FORScan two-way fixes via Mac/iOS. This is what my research has come up with -- does it sound about right to you? Thanks.

Thanks for your comment. We are always happy when our videos are useful to our viewers. Please like and share our videos to help it get more views! We appreciate your help. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience using FORScan so I'm afraid you will probably have more accurate information on this due to your research. It might be best if you reached out to the OBDLink team on specific questions like this since they would have accurate info on their MX+ and EX products and it's workings with FORScan. I don't want you to get the wrong info and end up with the wrong OBD adapter.

Hello great video! Very well put together.Can you use this OBD to unlock hidden features?

Thank you for commenting. We're happy you enjoyed the video. We do put a lot of effort in our videos. Please share it with anyone else that would enjoy it too. For some vehicle makes the OBDLink MX+ may be able to access special settings. It is best to ask the OBDLink team regarding your specific make and model to be sure. Usually, you will have to use a 3rd party app with these features, that specializes in your make and model vehicle. I provided some resources as well in the video description where you can get started in your search for information on this. Hope that helps.

Can be used with the Realdash application to read canbus, such as gearbox temperature ?

Can the mx+ connect to my iPhone 13pro max? I use track addict btw for track recordings.
@FrakkingCreations29 күн бұрын
I haven't tried on an iOS phone but on the OBDLink website it mentions that the MX+ supports many iOS apps. So I believe it should work with Track Addict. If you want to be sure it might be best to contact the OBDLink support team or Track Addict support team

@@FrakkingCreations Thanks. Reason is because I was notified not all OBD adapters can connect bluetooth to iPhones. Only specific bluetooth like BLE / 4.0, and not those Bluetooth 1.x, 2.x and 3.x ones . I’ll write to OBDlink for further enquire , thanks!

You're welcome. Hope you get your answer.

Oh one other thing. Because OBDLink has an iOS app that works with the MX+, I'm inclined to think that it will work if it's only a BT issue that you are concerned about. Please post back once you find out. Would be good info to know.

Will this read my transmission temperature when pulling a trailer with a 2011 ford E350 5.4l
@FrakkingCreationsАй бұрын
That's something OBDLink might be able to answer better. It typically depends on if the vehicle in question is outputting the parameter for transmission temperature. If it is, it will likely be available for display.

That list of supported expanded diagnostics cars is pretty crappy. I wonder if it is an outdated list or if they just stopped caring years ago.
@FrakkingCreations29 күн бұрын
It isn't the biggest list. The extended features actually doesn't support the vehicles we own. I do wish they keep updating it for more vehicles, though. I could imagine that these manufacturers all want a lot of money for access to their IP or just don't want to allow it.

I have four Oxygen Sensors on my Dodge Caravan, and this unit only shows data on two of them....disappointing
@FrakkingCreations4 ай бұрын
Have you looked through all data parameters in the app?
@cinepost4 ай бұрын
@@FrakkingCreations I will Look again. What exactly do you mean by parameters?
@FrakkingCreations4 ай бұрын
I am assuming you are checking the O2 sensor using the OBDLink app. If you go to the Logs page then select Settings icon. In there you can custom select the parameters (PIDs) you want to monitor. Select SAE PIDs. Then select the O2 sensor you want. For you, you probably have O2 bank 1 sensor 1, O2 bank 1 sensor 2, O2 bank 2 sensor 1 and O2 bank 2 sensor 2. Are these the ones you are looking for?
@cinepost4 ай бұрын
@@FrakkingCreations yes, I will check in the AM.
@AK.__2 ай бұрын
There are should be more. For the Charger I see large variety of the O2 sensors, and Sensor3 , Sensor4 are among them.
