A final is not about playing, it's about winning. Give the Croatian players all of the applauses if you want. France were the best team in the tournament. They are just so blessed with talent. I thought they should have dominated every game, but didn't. The scoreline here doesn't really do Croatia justice, who for most of the game, gave them a good run. A better final would have been against Belgium, who arguably were a close 2nd best in the tournament. In their semi-final, all France had to do was exploit Belgium's weakness -- defence on set pieces -- and then close shop and play some of the most negative football in a WC semi-final I have ever witnessed from a top team brimming with so much talent. Come the Nations League, France should have dominated, but didn't. I guess they didn't feel the need to as world champions. They need to watch out now regarding complacency, because Deschamps is an average tactician, at best...

They are not blessed with talent, they are producing talent with the best football academic system in the world. They have dominated every game (Argentina, Uruguay, were dominated by France, Belgium had a 30 good minute against France but was not sufficient to beat the french, and against Croatia, France was superior because they were more dangerous when they had the ball. For the Nation league, Netherland scored a goal at the 94 minutes against Germany which elimitated France but to be fair the french dont care about this league cup (they are WC). Just pick one national's team coach who got better results than him since 2016 ? You don't reach in two final by luck. Don't forget that France was the finalist in Euro 2016.
