I've been to Jordan and it's a great country with beautiful, kind people. My daughter lived there to work with a nonprofit providing healthcare for Syrian refugees. In fact, she's been looking to go back and continue in a similar role. Not to mention Jordan is many many times safer than the US in every way. They are not going to be bullied into taking people into their country and they shouldn't.
