I am not sure if it’s for the Israelites, but as a grafted-in Gentile, I receive this comforting Word, He is my Abba, He made me, planned me, He will not abandon me, He will carry me throughout my whole earthly life to when I am in His Presence eternally ❤

So by the time your with God or in the lake of fire, your free will choice has already been expended, as you've already reached your destination Analogy: if theres 2 doors, and you pick the left one. But God is the key who holds everything together. Going from the saying darkness is the absence of light, one can see the importance of light appearing in the darkness. God creates order out of chaos and upholds everything good, he is the the corner stone, beam, pillar that holds up the universe earth heavens etc. The choice we are given is to be used to choose him. If otherwise, then one falls out of range of the light and into darkness and chaos one remains.

It distills down to this: Without free will there is no love. Forced love isn't love. God won't force us to love Him. In doing that He showed us His ultimate love. Except unlike a bad friend or a lover, God will still chase us even if we don't want to love Him yet. He gives us the freedom to choose it or not but as we all know, you can't force someone to love you and you wouldn't WANT to make someone feel forced to love you either.

And “giving free will” means you can abdicate any and all responsibility.🐹
@katierucker28708 ай бұрын
@@CR-yd4qeSo you would rather have God to force you to love Him? God cannot fail if He gives free will. He is not responsible for our sins. We are responsible for our sinful actions. God never forced us to sin, either. We are the ones who rejected Him, He never rejected us first. If a parent warns their child to look both ways when crossing a road, or else they get hit by a car, and the child grows older and doesn’t heed their parents’ warning and gets hit by a car, would that be the parents’ fault? No, it simply isn’t. God warns us that if we keep rejecting Him and His goodness, then we’re going to hell. That’s a fair warning. There’s always a consequence to our actions. It seems you don’t believe in consequences, and that people should just do what they want.

@@joeleniola9140 The first question was actually a bunch of questions, about things that the Bible doesn't specifically answer. So, his answers are not bs, they are more theories, based on possibilities to be true. Like asking what is heaven like. We can tell some things that the Bible makes clear, but without experiencing it, we can not say what it smells like etc. But, he did a good job, with the limited information that we have. To me, where did sin come from? God is a Person with a will. He can not be anyone else. When someone with a free will (satan) goes against God's will, this becomes sin. And if that little thing (sin) grows, it would create many that could nit dwell indefinitely in God's presence. If you were forced to live with someone who believed opposite from you, and taught others around him to also believe opposite from you. How long could you live in the same room? And because satans view would keep others away from God, and Goodness, it had to be punished (judged). To me, this makes sense. Cause, and effect. What a person sows, that he will also reap. If he sows good seed, he will reap eternal life. If he sows evil, he will reap destruction. And unbelief is evil (see Hebrews 3).

@@scottm4042 I don't think I can convince any Christian that according to bible humans don't have free will. I hope you can come to that conclusion, but I don't think I am helping in any way. The answer to how long I can live with the person that has opposite view from me is forever. Though it will be stressful and annoying sometimes I will be okay with living with him/her. God on the other hand can't tolerate this, he did something a man would do. He basically deletes the rebels. No forgiveness, he just sends them into hell. This is the God you serve. You claim he is of love, but the same book you get this from says otherwise. Oh, he is forgiving, he is actually not unless you give him some animal or human blood. @sidwhiting66510 ай бұрын
@@CR-yd4qe fair point, and it does show how all analogies ultimately fall short. I think the better (but still not perfect) analogy than a sandwich is a young man who sees a beautiful woman that he wants to date, but she refuses. He tries to woo her, but ultimately she says, "No." What is the man supposed to do: force her to love him? Such a thing is not possible! No, eventually after she rejects him enough he will stop trying to form a relationship with her. God made human beings to share his love with them. Some human beings refuse to partake in this. Being out of God's presence is what Hell is. It is described as "the outer darkness....a place where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth." Btw, the sad truth is that if there is no God, then there is no purpose or right to life: we simply poof out of existence. No one has an inalienable right to anything.

The Peanut Butter sandwich is divine, perfect, delicious, and remarkable all by itself. The Peanut Butter sandwich never asked me to make it. The Peanut Butter sandwich might not have even wanted me to take it. However, I made it anyway out of love. I believe the Peanut Butter sandwich is remarkable and I wanted to share how remarkable it is with the rest of the world. The Peanut Butter sandwich may not even realize it, but a world with out it would be a sad world. The existence of the Peanut Butter sandwich will have a far reaching impact on the world then it will ever know. An when the Peanut Butter sandwich gets sad that people don’t want to eat it due to being allergic or due to them wanting to eat Ham sandwich or Tuna sandwich. @Lox_12810 ай бұрын
It's a good point. But I suppose God didn't create humanity in the first place with the intention of the possibility that they would suffer eternal damnation. That then leads to the question why did God not just start over?.. but I suppose the whole point of having humans and not pets is that we have free will and the capacity to choose Him or ourselves? As much as I respect Dr Turek, he also didn't answer the implied sub-question the second question has, which is how can you settle all those who haven't heard of Jesus and therefore didn't have the ability to be saved? People were living and dying all over the world for thousands of years before Jesus, and in the years after Jesus, but before his word was spread across the world. It seems at surface level that those people are doomed for damnation and don't get a choice in the matter, which seems difficult to come to terms with.

Personally I settle it by saying that I cannot judge God's actions and decisions, and instead trust in His mercy, righteousness and love. Not the greatest argument to put towards a sceptic, however!
@nickrohe77710 ай бұрын
What is grace? Unmerited favor, goodness not deserved. Does God owe us grace? No, we have sinned and only deserve His wrath. What does it say in Roman's 9 concerning Rebekah and the twins? Romans 9:10-13 NASB And not only this, but there was Rebekah also, when she had conceived twins by one man, our father Isaac; [11] for though the twins were not yet born and had not done anything good or bad, so that God's purpose according to His choice would stand, not because of works but because of Him who calls, [12] it was said to her, "The OLDER WILL SERVE THE YOUNGER." [13] Just as it is written, "Jacob I LOVED, BUT ESAU I HATED." Romans 9:14-16 NASB What shall we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be! [15] For He says to Moses, "I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOM I HAVE COMPASSION." [16] So then it does not depend on the man who "wills" or the man who runs (works) , but on God who has mercy. Read the next verses. He raised Pharoah up and hardened his heart so He could crush him and show his power. Cruel you may say, no. It's called justice. He sinned, he deserves hell. Just like the rest of us. Some God saves for His good pleasure and some He passes over. God can show off any one of His attributes when He pleases. He grants faith Philippians 1:29 NASB For to you it has been granted for Christ's sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake. He also grants repentance. 2 Timothy 2:24-26 NASB The Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, [25] with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, [26] and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will. God lets Satan blind the minds of unbelievers as a form of punishment and God hardens hearts for the same reason. Satan is God's puppet on a leash. Satan means it for evil and God means it for good to get the most glory. If you think this life is about you and your so called free will, you are sadly mistaken. It's all about God's story and glory. Psalm 115:3 NASB But our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases. Jesus suffered God's wrath for the ones that were chosen. The ones who would repent and believe. I have shown you both are a gift from God the sinner contributes nothing but sin which even God is in control of. What is your favorite food? Was you born and told yourself your favorite food would be pizza or tacos? No, God chose those and works out the sin you commit in such a way that His goodness is not tarnished. The removal of grace is where sin comes in to play. He does not owe us grace and can use it how He pleases. I hope this helps the people who read this understand God better.

4:21 her question is sometimes called the paradox of choice. If I have the ability to only choose righteousness, do I have the ability to choose at all. If there’s only one option available to me, do I have any options at all. Here’s the funny thing about this paradox, by giving someone free will, God gave him the ability to choose to obey or disobey, the. Existence of free will create the ability to rebel, but you have to remember just because someone has the ability to rebel does not mean they have a right or a responsibility to it, and it does not put the rebellion on the creator or give her a free will because if it’s God’s fault, then the creature doesn’t have free will

He was in Heaven and had free choice, as it’s said we will all still have in Heaven, and yet he chose to sin. You could explain ‘he wanted power’ but then what stops us wanting that too - surely that could happen again on the new earth with one of us. Not sure how we get around this conundrum. Either God caused Satan to sin, the implications of which are troubling, or else Satan chose it himself and there will always be the possibility of sin in a new heaven and new earth, and we’re simply banking on the idea that nobody will want to.

@@joeleniola9140 angels and humans aren't the same. the bible alludes to the fact that we will be above the angels when resurrected. it also tells us that us as humans mostly wrestle with sin because of our flesh. The spirit is willing but the body is weak. so when our flesh is no more, our desire to sin will go away with it. currently in our bodies it feels good to sin because it is the nature of our flesh. this is why we are seen as enemies of God. because we actually take pleasure in doing what he doesn't like, it's a desire we have naturally. in our new bodies it won't feel good and we may have the option to, but we genuinely won't want to. walking fully in his spirt means that what is displeasing to God will now naturally be displeasing to us.

You think I'm saying we are different than angels as in just right now. I'm saying after resurrection we will be different from angels too. We will be above the angels. We aren't going to become angels, we will be above them to the point where we can judge them. We are coheirs to the kingdom alongside Christ. We will not be the same as the angels. Adam and Eve did not have to know what sin is to sin. Just like you don't have to know what a crime is to commit one. But that's not the point. The point is about them being tempted. You are tempted by things you have an actual desire for. If neither of them wanted to go against God or be like God themselves then they couldn't be tempted in the first place. The point that you are missing when reading is the lack of desire. We sin because we have an actual desire to. Our new bodies will not have this desire. Meaning you CAN sin but simply don't WANT to. Everything in your body will be completely against it.
@joeleniola914010 ай бұрын
@@brolylegendaryssj Will we be spirits in heaven? If the answer is yes then I am saying that we can still sin. Not only that we most likely will sin. This is based on the angels sinning before. The angels worship God and they know of hi glory and all. Lucifer was well aware of this why would he sin? When we get to heaven we will also be able to see God's glory but we can still sin. I point out Adam and Eve because they good and they did not know what sin is. You cannot say lucifer, Adam and Eve were jealous because they don't know what that is. This is where it all falls apart. It is either God created sin which is what make sense to me. The other option being the devil or sin created sin. This is not possible because the idea of sin was not known to those in the beginning except for God. They cannot sin because sin did not exit to them. The sin Adam commits was disobedience but he does not know what that is. He can't know what that is. Only God knows that. Him doing it and never being inform by God that it is a sin shows God was okay with sin manifesting. He was okay with it because he made it. Sin was an option because God made sin. If my mom cooked and I see rice, I cannot just eat chicken unless she made chicken. This is just my thoughts on Christianity. I don't believe any of this exists because there is no evidence for it. When God gives us free-will to choose He goes to the extent of allowing us free reign to even choose to believe He exists or not, He does not limit our choices and therefore does not limit our choice to disobey Him. Saying that the universe contains everything doesn't explain how it all got there, including the universe itself and even including existence as a concept. @almightyzentaco If God hasn't always existed, then there would be no existence, because there would be nothing to create God. God is 'eternal,' because there has to be something before everything, but God himself acts outside of time, space and matter, which is what existence is. Space, matter and time can't create space, matter and time before space, matter and time have been created, and so God created space, matter and time. We can't comprehend the nature of God, but him always existing is the explanation for everything, because if he didn't always exist, that means something was before him and would lead you to believe that there are an infinite amount of gods creating each other...which then leads to the same question of "who created the first creator?" God being eternal is the explanation.

On that second question, with Frank’s analogy, it’s basically like “ believe in God or else” or “accept Christ or else “ or else what? The boat you’re in will sink and you’ll die right? Of course most people will get on the boat because they don’t want to sink or die. You could tell them to believe in the tooth fairy and they’ll probably hop on so they don’t die. Not really a good analogy. We apparently have a sin “problem “ that we didn’t create and we also did not choose to be born but the solution to the problem ( if you believe there IS a ‘problem’) is a solution in which you’re almost given no choice but to accept..if you want to ‘live’. On top of that once we become believers, we have Christ’s imputed righteousness which ‘makes’ us holy (in Gods sight) but it is impossible for us to actually BE “holy” in a practical sense, in this flesh, because of what we are at our core, sinners. Why would I ask or expect a dog to be anything more than a dog? Why would it be asked that anything be anything OTHER than what it was created to be? THIS I struggle with,…

If the latter (which is consistent with his repeated assertion that the claimant always carries the initial burden), then Turek will not be able to persuasively broaden the intended audience of NT authors and story characters beyond the 1st century contemporaries they were obviously addressing, i.e., when I refuse to bother with the NT on the grounds that no case can be made that anything it says was ever intended for anybody living in the 21st century, I'm not violating any canon of common sense, historiography, or hermeneutics...and therefore such refusal cannot rightly be labeled "unreasonable". So the more Turek thinks his bible condemns 21st century unbelievers who knowingly reject the gospel message, the more he proves his own unreasonableness.

@@Tom-j4v7f Very good question! You are not alone. Many people have asked the same thing because it's a good question. The New Testament's intended audience is actually irrelevant. The entire point of that part of the Bible is to address the way of living after Christ's resurrection. The principles the book addresses are that of sin and what to do with life. Yes, society has changed but the underlying sin in it has not and the way of living the books address still apply because they were written to address the problem that has always been there. If there is truly an all knowing God why would he write a book with the principles that it includes that is only true and relevant for a short time?

I need to share something on the topic "I didnt chose to exist". My answer is: Maybe you did, maybe we all did. This answer is my extension of an explaination I have heart on the topic FREEDOM OR PREDESTINATION. This theory moved the free will before our creation. God knows how we will choose, so he created our lifes according to our free will. Our entire life is created by our character and free will. God lets it happen. The ultimate connection of free will and predestination. Like parents who know their kid wont be perfect and they still create it, so God lets us live. Back to the "I didnt choose to exist" dilemma according to this theory. I think, the soley fact that we exist, shows us that we wanted to exist. Maybe like God knows everything about us, he knew that we wanted to exist. He wouldnt push us into existence. I think the man in this video is happy to exist even if he talks that way. Maybe we decided to live and God granted us this gift. Maybe we did choose at some point that God can create us. Interesting? Oh yeah!!

There's also a fundamental paradox in saying, "I didn't consent to being created", as it assumes you were already created in order to give consent for your creation lol.
@diodo685510 ай бұрын
While that may be true, I don’t think that’s what question was really getting at. It doesn’t matter whether he actually prefers being created versus not, but, when your creator creates you and demands your unconditional love and worship otherwise damning you with eternal hellfire it begs the question as to why you would be created. An all knowing god also forces you into this position knowing fully what your ultimate fate will be. I don’t think this serves to disprove the existence of a god, but highlights the nature of the Christian god from a different perspective. Paradox aside, if he had the choice to be created versus being forced into the proposition above, maybe he would have preferred not to be created. Similarly, Frank’s analogy really does not line up with the situation that humans are put in if the Christian god is true. It would be more accurate if the people that were offering to save you were also the ones who threw you overboard to begin with. There’s just a bit of irony in that situation.
@itzamedio542710 ай бұрын
Well that doesn't sound like the Christian God at all. First the Christian God does not demand our unconditional love. We wouldn't be able to give it in the first place. Second the Christian God does not damn us to hell for not loving Him; He damns us to hell because we have committed crimes worthy of such a punishment. However unlike any human judge, God does not deal with us according to what we deserve because he gave His own Son the death penalty in our place so that we might be saved from our proper sentence. WE are the ones who throw ourselves overboard, but it is God who does not deal with us according to what we deserve and begs us to take the life boat He has provided. God knows whether you will or won't choose rescue but the choice is still up to you.

It doesn't matter if you didn't choose to exist but you can't deny the fact that we do exist. Because we wouldn't be having this conversation on KZbin if we didn't exist at all. However, I’m walking with Christ now and I can’t stop from sinning the same stupid sin. I understand the difference right now is that I’m in my human body which has needs and desires and my body will be new and holy in heaven, but if I can’t stop sinning, even though I pray for help to not sin and not be tempted, what’s gonna stop me in heaven? Will it be because I will have seen God and his full glory and presence at that point because I have not now as a human?

You .. can .. stop. Especially if it’s a sin you are very aware of. You may , like many of us , lack discipline. Or you may have a legit addiction. Therapy , honesty, fasting , and prayer works. I need all of that too tbh. Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Take it one day at a time. It’s the same sin… you know the traps and triggers . You know satan hates you , you know your flesh wants to gorge itself on darkness ..so that’s actually a cheat code! You know what to avoid and what to “starve.” If professional help is needed - go! Keep asking God for the wisdom and strength. I love you, let’s let God free us from these same cycles.

Add to Blake question: if he chooses not to be saved, then why is he the one being judged, if we’re not supposed to judge others then why are we being judged so much by others or god.
@v3ronzo8 ай бұрын
The Bible never says “don’t judge.” And stops there friend. Manyyyyyy people assume that - or use that as justification for not taking accountability. But It’s says in Matthew 7 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? God is perfect . Blameless . Sinless. Holy. And Sovereign so he has all the rights to judge. Also consider, we hire / elect judges right. If you ever sued me for damage to your person or property , would you not want a righteous judge? Humans can be fickle and mean and selfish at times, we have all done this . That’s why 1. We judge (too)harshly and sometimes hypothetically. 2. Why we need Jesus and that higher moral standard to live by so we can be better.

The parable about building on the rock or sand is great, because the consequences of doing the wrong thing is not a punishment, it just happens. Atheists often claim God is unfairly punishing people who simply just don't have any reason to believe in Him. Yet most often their poor choices are their own punishment. It is a rare thing for God to intervene and punish. He tolerates a great deal of wickedness before he does so. He is also merciful in punishment. It is never long drawn out though it may be painful. Probably, the Flood was the worst of all (evee God hints at this). One could conceivably have survived many days into the flood, or managed to stay afloat before drowning. Though I like to believe no one stood a chance against the raging waters and would have quickly drowned.

We have this desire to live lawlessly. Never was our Heavenly Fathers fault, it was Adam and Eves fault. Just like people choose to live lawlessly today was it His fault? No it was those people fault because they wanted to do their own will. Instead of obeying His instructions. If you run your car while pumping ⛽ after reading the instructions that tell you to turn your car off while fueling and you do not listen but keep it running and all of a sudden the car explodes would it be the one who made the car or the gas stations fault? It would be nether one of their fault it would be that individuals fault.

I love that term “irenic” btw, never heard it before! This is just my philosophy, I feel that just like there are fallen angels, there are fallen humans, that we all are. We are living in a fallen creation, so we too are fallen. To overcome the world and ask for forgiveness, is a beautiful thing and a great challenge each of us can choose to take on. Sin all started with satan manipulating, so he won’t be forgiven. He probably wouldn’t ever even ask to be forgiven. But many humans fallen or not, still have a longing to be back with God, so He welcomes us back by His side if we only ask 🥲 Our free will is honored to the very end. If we deny God and don’t want to be with Him at the end of our life, then He will honor that and let us die, permanently, as we have requested. “Hell” for humans is simply a place without God, so that’s death, non-existence. But for those who *ask* to be with God, He will grant us two things, forgiveness and eternity. Forgiveness so we can be sinless again, and eternity with Him and our loved ones. For someone with no sin, ALL they would want is to spend eternity with God and loved ones. I’ve seen what sin does to people, self-included. And I want no more part of it.

@@HermaeusM That is Magnificent you do not want to live in sin. But hey many people do not long to be with their Maker actually we are envious ( jealous) of our Maker. Alright, I have an issue with people who die go and be with GOD? What I understand is when we die, as Paul puts it, we are asleep until the return of JESUS, so Mr. Frank states, they go be with GOD, all through scripture, it does not say that at all. Here is one of many, but this one is so very sincere, 1 Thess. 4: 13-18, says it all. So when we die, we are asleep and waiting for judgement to come. Praise GOD!!

God wants us all to be saved, but... for those who don't, he still loves, and gives temporal pleasures, that they might have these things for a season at least. It really comes down to a matter of, do you want very temporary instant gratification, or unbelievably extreme delayed gratification? But because of God's love, and the natural dynamics of good and evil, even the temporary pleasures grow sour, and end in destruction. This is to guide us towards the light, to him, that we could have life more abundantly.

For me here is how I would answer it. You don't ask for a gift you are given a gift. What you do with that gift is up to you. God gave us the greatest gift life. I didn't ask for it it was given to me and personally I am grateful for it. Given a choice between life and never existing I will always choose life. I know I have not dealt with even modest hardship in my life compared to those of the past so you might think it is easy for me to say I choose life. However I have no doubt in my mind that those that live harder lives than I, receive all that much more joy out of the good times they are a part of. I think the vast amount of people would agree with me and say they would choose the gift of life, only the foolish would choose to never exist.

As for the answer to the second question, just brilliant. As for the first question, consider the following. The Bible never speaks -- nor could it -- of the image of Christ being formed in angels, however that is precisely the mission of the Holy Spirit in this era: to form the Lord's image in us who believe. So the first question that was centered around "in heaven" e.g. if Satan sinned "in heaven" why not could we sin once we get there? Answer: Satan never had the image of the Holy Son of God formed in him, we, by the pure grace of God, yes! That is why we will be delivered of the possibility of sinning.

Not sure his last analogy works for the question. The question is more you have parents and they tell you to obey them in all things or else they will torture you. Or if you don't worship them, they will scuttle the boat. Or course if you have no choice, you might take the safeboat, but you will want to get away as soon as possible and certainly won't be grateful or love them because they don't deserve it. But the meta question is if someone tells you they are your real parents and ask you to be grateful to them otherwise they will torture you unless you give them everything you have. I think most people would move away from those people that act like bandits. If that's his answer, it's probably the result he will get. If he does not see the moral problem, he is blind.

No, you would interrupt her faulty exercise of free will by snatching her off that busy street so she doesn't get run over by a car. Another problem with putting free will on the pedestal is that it leads to the conclusion that people in hell are punished forever for exercising their free will. If the best and ultimate gift of love is "freewill" why does God punish people for using it? Really think about this. Why send them to be tormented forever for choosing not to be with Him? He could have respected their choice by sending them to a equally good universe where He is not as involved in their lives forever and maybe one day they'll realize how much they miss Him and change their minds. Why make them suffer and torment for using this ultimate gift of love called "freewill"?

@1111 Your view is flawed. You equate love with total control? Are you also a satanist? Those are both honest questions btw.

@@vitola1111 You could argue that if God truly loved us, he would have never given us bodies to misuse in the first place. Thus spiritual growth and learning would become all but impossible.

@Mannwhich No, I equate love to God. God Himself is not only the standard of love but He is love (1 John 4:8). To say the ultimate gift of love is to give free will is such a distortion of the Biblical view of love that its not even remotely Christian. The ultimate gift of love is God. The ultimate gift of God is Christ. It doesn't have anything to do with free will. It has everything to do with God.

4:37 Essentially all of creation is a series of parallels, seems contrasted against their opposite, a series of mirrors, dimly lit, looking into one another. I know what up is because I have fallen down. I know how cold something is because I compare it to something hot. So to sin is the contrast of righteousness. Now allow me to say something there is a little bit crazy, but might be true, If this world, if creation is a series of contrasting things, what would happen if God in the new heaven and new earth, was to remove contrast. It to only have righteous and good things without their counterparts, with that remove our desire to seek into commit sin.

There is a verse in the Bible that calls some angels elect, so that means that God’s grace was working to save some angels. Although they cannot be redeemed, God’s grace apparently can prevent them from sinning.

Why do people sin? Frank suggests that it's sex, money, or power. "Oh, there ain't no rest for the wicked Money don't grow on trees I got bills to pay I got mouths to feed There ain't nothing in this world for free I know I can't slow down I can't hold back Though you know I wish I could Oh, no there ain't no rest for the wicked Until we close our eyes for good" No devil required.

@@Onlyoneway. If the devil is not required for us to sin, then why did God give the devil/serpent (Rev 12:9) the capacity to tempt mankind/Eve?

Love these vids. Putting some thoughts with this topic: Sin is the absence of God. It is choosing that which opposes Him. So God did not create sin. It is darkness. Darkness is what happens with no light. We did not ask to be born: good point. Death is the wages of sin not eternally being tormented. We do not have an eternal existence without the resurrection to Life. Otherwise the second death for those who say no to Life/salvation/Jesus.

I have asked my "bible teacher" the exact same questions about 2 weeks ago and got an answer that makes now even more sense, especially because not everything makes sense what this guy said. Furthermore, according to him we all go to heaven. So what is the earth made for? Just to stay temporarily? Why does it say in Ecclesiastes 1:4 that the earth will stay forever? Just by itself? 😆 there are more bible verses that the earth will remain forever, with people living on it (paradise-earth like it was intended).

I love Frank and I’m a big fan of his work. I find that it’s helps me tremendously…. I just wish that he would answer truthfully sometimes and say that he doesn’t really know the answer. I find that he frequently avoids answering the question by deviating it to pre-existing clauses that are already made for similar questions.

The young lady was asking where did sin come from and that is a question I struggle with. In the beginning there was nothing but God and everything comes from God. So we can create nothing in and of ourselves. We may have free will but that is given from God in the first place. We may then chose to sin but that does not mean we are the original creator of sin.

Everything would ultimately fall back on the creator, not the created. No one in their right mind would hold a robot accountable for committing a crime if the creator programmed “free will” into it. Giving something the ability to destroy itself is not exactly a hallmark of intelligent design.
@stevenbatke247510 ай бұрын
@@Pancakegr8exactly. And why is sin part of my “free will”? I don’t have the “free will” to do many things: fly with my arms, live under water, dance on the ceiling. Why aren’t those part of my free will? Do I even have free will? Do we have free will in heaven, if we can’t sin? Too many questions, with insufficient answers.

God is good and loving. We see evidence of that because he created us as intelligent beings with free will and not as robots or slaves which would be cruel. He even gives us free will to choose whether we trust Him or not. He does not force us to love him as that would be the opposite of love. Free will does open the possibility that we can turn away from God and sin but that is our twisted choice, not God's. He actually gives us instructions on how to avoid sin as he knows it will damage us and he wants the best for us. A good of free will is an invitation to share in creation with God. Look at music and art. Look at books and woodworking. Look at parents having children. There are many ways to share in creation with him and create! It appears the Devil was the first to sin as he was already corrupted when he tempted the first people. But God was not surprised that we would sin. He provided a savior to help us, showing us His Love is even greater than we realized.

@@stevenbatke2475 The problem is the alternative. If you ask a mindless universe any questions, you get no answers at all. So in this short format, I'll try to answer a little... Neither God nor anyone else in the Bible ever said we get a choice in everything but some choices within our human limits. It is more about learning from the good and bad. Job had it very rough but still had a choice in how he chose to follow God. Heaven is like being in the best loving relationship without being bothered or worried. Better than ending up in the dirt without any explanations. Hope that helps a little. It takes time.
@Pancakegr810 ай бұрын
@@bibleboardgames Your explanation is full of holes. First of all there is overwhelming evidence to show that we don’t actually have free will. We have no say as to where, when, or how we are born. We have no control over what we’re naturally good at, what we like or what kind of parents take care of us. We have no knowledge of the future, and we cannot escape social and societal pressures and influences, meaning every decision we make is quite literally done in duress. Even if we did have free will, we are left with even more questions. Why would a compassionate God value freedom of choice over human wellbeing? How are humans who make decisions based on instinct any different than complex robots? Why is being a robot a bad thing? What is the point of our supposed free will if God created a universe that actively punishes us if we don’t obey God in the first place?
