reminds me of horror zombies, there is a certain charm to the simplicity of the graphics...awesome upload as always !

The graphics are probably the best aspect of this one, definitely has a charm to them. But Horror Zombies is a lot more fun to play I would say ...

Couldn't find any reviews... Gee thanks ;-). Ohhh okay I'll watch your EXCELLENT video anyhow :) Btw, you wouldn't believe how close I came to completing this. When the time ran out (that I didn't know existed at first), I was ONE room away. One!! I had a saved game so tried again, but same result. I hate timers lol

Oh yeah, I did read about a timer being introduced after you returned a certain item. I HATE timers too! 😁

Reminds me of Spikey (Hagar the Horrible) game. LOL, I can't help but notice how many ST games have annoying rats. Frankenstein, Spikey, Batman... 🐀 Great review once again.

Yeah, I felt that vibe too, but couldn't remember the name of the game! The rats of the ST are the bats of the Spectrum! 😁

Your frustrations brings up past feelings that was felt while playing similar titles. Games like these are why Gods, Rick Dangerous and Chaos Engine were heavily played favorites. You can't compare the quality of such titles.

For sure, this is a bit simple even for a budget release! I would rather let Rick Dangerous torment me, than dive too deep into this one! 😁

For a 1992 game they could’ve done it better, technically it needs more effort, that flipping scroll is from a 1988 game. The gameplay seems to be nice for a few quick games, decent and familiar for this halloween days.

(what for cigarettes... " smoking is bad for your health " ;) ) Sympatic game ; "odd", but sympathic :) (some Speccy game inspirations, like " Frank'n'stein" or "Jet Set Willy"?)

Actually I think that was a set of kitchen knives, not cigarettes or vials! But kitchen knives can be bad for one's health too! 😁

This must have been a late release, or maybe just I never saw it. It looks like something I'd have really enjoyed for a while :).

Yeah, was released in 92 and don't think it was advertised much. Never heard of it before either...

@@gearsofgames I feel like I missed so many fun titles. I think if the Atari software sales situation was better there might have been more competition between ST and PC in the end times.

In the room before the one with the shears there was a red flower that you jumped on, however you didn't try to jump onto the same type of flower in the next room which would have allowed you to jump up to the platform where the shears were. 🤦

I do jump on that red flower in the shears room and can't get on top of it. Its visible in the video, I gather it´s another case of BS collision boxes! 😁

@@gearsofgames In the video you were more more purposeful when it came to jumping on the flower you managed to use as a platform. Given you're unlikely to ever play the game again we'll never know if that is the route to the shears. Frankenstein will have to get them himself the lazy git.

@jaysmith2858 I did give it another try just now and I cannot for the life of me get onto that flower. Must be something else I am missing...

@@gearsofgames Bad programming perhaps? It wouldn't be the first time such a thing has occurred. Maybe that's why you can't find any reviews. All the reviewers might have had the same issues and thought "Balls to this! If they can't be bothered with their game, I can't be bothered reviewing it!'. If I had an ST emulator I might try the game myself. However given my incredibly low frustration tolerance, maybe its best that I don't currently have access to that game and others that can be equally frustrating, if not more so.

@jaysmith2858, Steve over at Ataricrypt mentioned that he almost finished it, he was one screen away! But he was foiled by a timer that the game throws at you. So there must be a way to get to those bastard shears! Yeah, emulation plus old games is a pretty reliable source of frustration! 😁
