Frankie Vallie did the original recording in the 60's It was beautiful. This live rendition is different. Still sweet but the original recording was done to perfection. He really put great feeling in the studio version. 💜🌅😌

Bob Gaudio was an original Four Season and Bob Crewe was the record producer. They wrote most all of the Four Seasons hits and the 70's Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons songs. In the early 60's the Four Seasons were at the top of the charts with the Beatles and Beach Boys.

This is a rabbit hole you should explore. Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. There’s a movie and a Tony award winning musical called the Jersey Boys. It depicts the struggles & the rise of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Their song catalog is so good. Such as"Big Girls Don't Cry", "Sherry", "December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)", "My Eyes Adored You", "Stay", "Can't Take My Eyes Off You", "Walk Like A Man", "Who Loves You", "Working My Way Back to You" and "Rag Doll". I hope you do some exploring. Music marks time. Enjoy!

Frankie Valley recorded the original version in early 1967. The version that I like better was recorded later in 1967 by the Lettermen as a medley of "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" with "Goin' Out of My Head". There have been dozens of covers since then.

great song. when you have a chance, please check out Kris Kristofferson's Help Me Make It Through The Night. it was a huge hit and it was all about sex in a song - a first by the way. and it's a beautiful song. A lovely song but on the sad side is Traces by Classics IV. Nielsson Without You. oldies but goodies. a much newer one is Celine Dion's It's All Coming Back To Me Now. Meatloaf didn't want to sing it so his song writer gave it to Celine. it became a huge huge hit and the video is a film. when Meatloaf saw that he recorded it but differently. didn't do as well. Happy listening.
