🤫When I was in second grade, I liked this girl in my class named Amanda, and so at recess one day I thought it would be a good idea to just tell everyone that I liked her. Then at the end of recess when we were lining up, my frenemy Kyle grabbed me and pushed me towards Amanda, who looked mortified, as he laughed and said "Kiss the bride!!!!" I was so shocked that the 30 kids I told on the playground could not keep my crush a secret.

You know what, this one hit just a little too close to home. Five years ago I told my (ENTJ) best friend in confidence about my crush, naively assuming she'd understand it was a secret. The next day, I show up at a dinner party and it turns out she's told *the whole friend group* about it. Suffice it to say, I never told her any boy-related secret again. P.S. I still love my best friend to bits, I just don't tell her secrets anymore :)

Yeah, I've learned that you have to explicitly say it's a secret, but that doesn't mean they'll oblige either. So, I don't tell my secrets unless I absolutely know they won't be repeated. I am a great keeper of them tho.😸✌️

I think your friend is not a malicious blabber mouth, she probably likes fixing things so if you say you have a crush, to her it means, she needs to get on it and get you and your crush together ASAP. I am an ENTJ and we are very goal-oriented. Sometimes a friend wants to rant to me, but if they do it more than twice, I always think they want me to do something about it. I know that sometimes someone wants a listening ear but it is really hard for us not to take action or find efficient solutions.

I'm an ENFP and I actually experienced this the other way around a lot. But I have to admit: I give up some secrets of my friends sometimes, but only if I absolutely know that it's absolutely safe to do so and actually beneficial for the friend, most times I even ask them if it is ok. I only ignore to ask them when I'm able to create an opportunity without embarassing them. Like someone tells me that they have a crush on someone and their crush actually tells me two days later, that they also have a crush on my friend, too, but think they won't have any chance at all. That's when I will decide to spill the secret to give them a chance. Some people will probably tell me, that it is absolutely inappropriate to do so. I think, it's inappropriate to watch two beloved people being love sick going through hell with their feelings, since they are afraid of telling one another that they love each other, because they actually believe that they might get rejected. What kind of a friend would I be if I just stand there disgustingly dishonest while watching them suffer just to keep a damn secret? I want people to be happy and achieve their dreams and goals in life, this counts double for my friends and beloved ones. Most of the secrets though, especially the really important ones, will die with me. I absolutely forget what people told me until they stand right in front of me and I will only bring them up to the ones who actually told me.

I also ENFP If someone told me something they dont want anyone to know I will try my best to keep it a secret. But if that secret is actually harm my family, I will tell my family Ex one of my previous worker try to borrow me some money to pay off the money she borrow my grandma earlier (she told me to tell no one) And yes that worker keep making stupid excuse to borrow everyone money , so later on she cant keep her promise to payback anyone And my family have to fired her But sometimes I also spill out some of the secret of my friend but it just a regular thing like A is dating with someone and it work out really great B is now working at this job Idk if this consider a secret or it is just a regular thing tho

I am also an ENFP and I learned as a teenager that other humans have not the same idea of "shared information helps everyone" as me. I later just directly told people not to tell me secrets and that made my life a lot easier.

@@TheFren Yes, they do and I would agree in most cases, but I also have a good example for that, which got appreciated much later. My mum had three older sisters and our family was so fucked up, that we only had contact to a fragment of our family... The sisters fought among them.... until my second oldest aunt was diagnosed with cancer. I had contact with my other aunt, the second youngest one. I always tried to mend fences between them saying things like "I ought to say 'hi' from your older sister" and stuff like that since I wasn't able to understand how you can hate someone that you held so dear in the past. I told her, that her sister is in hospital diagnosed with cancer, even though I was told to keep it a secret by my mom and by my late aunt. She immediately left home driving to the hospital saying "Forget about the past! That's my sister and she needs me now!". Of course my mum and my late aunt weren't thrilled that I spilled this secret, they were quite angry with me, but she was also happy to see her sister after ten years of absolute silence again. Three out of four sisters stood together as one and I saw my cousins for the first time in 10 years again. Spilling this secret actually brought our family back together... for the most part.... since my oldest aunt was still and literally "too proud" to visit her own sister in hospital... she did just before it was too late... my late aunt responded "Sorry, but I haven't died yet.". I still believe that I made the right choice, even though I knew I went against any other opinion and just ignored everyone's personal problem with each other.... And if I had to do it again, I wouldn't change my course of action, either.

This should be a tv show. On a separate note, the same thing happened to me in middle school. I was sorta friends with this new girl, so I told her I had a crush on this guy in my class who she happened to sit next to. She said she wouldn't tell anybody, and then when recess was over she sat down and immediately said, "someone likes you" and then he proceeded to guess every single girl in class except me. It was pretty demoralizing, especially when I started to get bullied for daring to have a crush on someone when she told him after he guessed all those other girls

I've always kept secrets secret, but one day my friend blurted out to the whole school that i had a crush on a girl in the cafeteria, THE WHOLE SCHOOL including her. Luckily nobody heard him because other stuff was going on blocking out the noise.

But a more happy ending i had once was when my best friend found out i had a crush on a girl that he was always seated next to (the school had tickets some times for students to switch seats) and my man hooked me up right next to her, i became friends with her and this man could not let it be because he pushed me in situations which lead to me actually dating her and taking her to the school dance. I haven't seen either one of them since she moved and i moved but i hope one day i get to thank my friend and see my *her* again (the girl i had a crush on) Mad respect for my best friend pushing me to talk to her and everything (by switching seats and places several times), he was like my wingman.

I had a college classmate, a guy, who revealed the crush of one of our girl schoolmate. I remember he said that in a loud voice, almost shouting, intentionally so many people could hear. I could say that guy is one of the noisiest person i've ever known & he's now dead for 8 years. Dead of unknown malady. His own family suspected he was poisoned.
