I am now reading a lot more about Freddie Starr. His was a fascinating life.... Lots of ups and downs. But one things for sure he had an incredible talent. He was truly a funny bloke. Those beautiful twinkling blue eyes and really handsome face that he could contort into all sorts of funny expressions was priceless. A naturally funny man. It was so awful to read about the last few years of his life after the accusation. I can't bear to think of how humiliated he must have felt being arrested three times!! Only to have the charges dropped and be found innocent of any wrong doing. Thank G-D. But it took it's toll on his health both physically and mentally. He just seemed to loose his footing completely. Mud sticks!!!! Even if you are found innocent of charges. It's leaves a stigma and Many careers have been ruined. I do not believe Freddie Starr was into 14 / 15 year old girls. He was so good looking, successful and popular I am sure the Ladies were running after him. He could have anyone he wanted. So my point is that it is a very dangerous thing to accuse someone of crimes without any evidence. This girl/woman destroyed his reputation. I think be should have tried to put it to one side afterwards. He was ill advised by his lawyer to sue the woman. Because you need tons of money to support your lawsuit and I believe he was no longer super wealthy or healthy anough to deal with it. Freddie you are missed very much and always will be. But you should be remembered as a wonderful talented man who gave us lots of laughs over the years. Love you. 💕💕💕 His showbizz friends certain evaporated when he needed support. Nobody wants to associate with you when you have g

I am old enough to remember him well, (saw him live at the Batley Variety Club in my teens...) - and sure, he was hugely entertaining but I often wonder, with changing times and attitudes, would his humor (almost slap stick really) be embraced as much today? He would be up there with the likes of Kevin Flanagan and Kevin Bridges - no ? But would he? The more I watch his performances, (as an old man now), I begin to realize what a tormented, torn and unhappy life he must have lived. Really sad 😪
