Smacking the doughnuts as a response made me a subscriber today!!! I became a subscriber today after watching tons of videos about skyline drive and then saw your old one about Luray Caverns and cracked up about at Craig’s responses or near “b roll”…. Then I looked at your latest video and his responses cracked me up again. Basically - good content with Victoria’s delivery and Craig’s impromptu responses made me want to watch more. Keep up the great videos.

Someone I knew who stayed at Walmarts throughout the USA would check to see which Walmarts were close to Apple stores. They found that usually helped to avoid more sketchy areas.

Always worried where to park, eating out gets expensive, always needing gas and water, costly rv parks, always looking for tim hortons or restaurants, worrying about breakdowns, always needing certain parts to fix rv. Sounds like an expensive and worry some lifestyle these days. Glad i did all my traveling in the 1970s to 2003 and then bought a house and drive my car to lakes not far away if i feel like camping. RV lifestyle is ok if your young with no kids, or your old, healthy and rich as you can only see so much before you get tired of all the rules and worries on the road and want a peaceful stationary life. With the prices of houses today and the prices of a newer RV today along with its travel costs worries and repair bills...its a toss up which lifestyle is best unless your mechanically and tech inclined and young, or just plain rich. So glad i traveled and worked across North America for 30 years when i was younger while my friends worked 9-5 in the same place all their life. If i did the RV lifestyle today i would sell my house and only buy a fully winterized 24 ft motorhome and a small plot of secluded land as my home base and build a storage shed to park it in out of the seasonal weather and travel when i want.

My wife and I have only rented an RV once (for a 3 week trip) and during that trip we only stayed at either an RV park or Cracker Barrel’s. The Cracker Barrel’s were fantastic. Stop early enough and you get dinner, and then breakfast in the AM. HIGHLY recommend 😊 & got to meet a lot of other RVers

Trucker Path is a good one to find fuel & truck stops, this app supports all truck stops, no subscription needed to use. Another tool for y'all to use that have big RVs is a commercial motor vehicle atlas. Low clearances on state routes will be marked in the atlas. Standard height for a semi truck is 13' 6", when a semi truck fits y'all will fit. Safe travels!

My wife is a GM at our local cracker barrel and I agree parking lot is not RV friendly if you ask me. We have a 40+ ft 5ver and I would never want to park there. But there are always camper there and I would have to ask her but there is a certain day limit at Cracker Barrel and she has had to ask people to leave after so long. And she also had people come talk to her saying they had a problem and fixing ok if we over stay a bit and she always allowed as far as I know. Cracker Barrel in Flagstaff has a much bigger parking lot so many hers is just oddly small?

Town parks west of the Mississippi are usually friendly and mostly free. Sometimes electric. Donations maybe. You might spend money there.

We have stayed at Cracker Barrel a few times. There will be a picture of a bus on the lower right of there toad sigh if they have space for a camper. However cars will definitely take those spaces. Get there eay.

You are absolutely right about Atlanta! We make sure we have enough gas to bypass Atlanta all together now. We had a really bad experience there. Never again! We didn’t really care for Tim Hortons either but ya know it’s kind of hard to compare Krispy Kreme’s to anything else. 🤣🤣

Omgosh ! I love Cracker Barrel because yes breakfast. But there has been sketchy Cracker Barrels too, so it's just move on. Quick question!!! Love how you show your boon docking places you stay, thank you but when you unhook for days and go on day adventures, how do you lock your trailer, so no one drives away with it? That aways make me nervous. P.S. Canadian Tims is way better than US. Have fun Stay safe! 🥰

Wow, surprising to hear you guys never stayed at Cracker Barrel. I use them all the time. They actually have designated RV spots in the back. Open till 9 weekdays, 10 weekends. And yes, huge, delicious breakfasts for $10-$12. And they're almost always located right off exit from highway. It's a great deal considering HH/BW now has a $30 "recommended purchase" obligation.

Lol we’ve really got to stay at a Cracker Barrel! We just can’t get our old one out of our heads which most definitely did not have RV parking. Could barely get our truck through that parking lot sometimes 🤣

@@wildrvlife 😂 2 things I always do: 1. they have an eclectic collection of single bottles of soda that you can't find anywhere else. They're $2 (or less) and help me feel less guilty overnighting if I don't eat a meal. 2. If you DO eat breakfast, ask for more syrup. They come in mini travel size bottles and is deliciously homemade. 😋

The Home Depot Inn here in Greenfield In, Use to have a no semi sign in front but has taken it down recently... Trucks were ignoring it anyways😂!

What's wrong with truck Stops? I am a retired truck driver of 40 years granted. Some truck stops are a little shady depending on where you're at anywhere around most of the big cities. Are shady but the rest of them for the most part are pretty decent places just wondering and i would always lock my door anywhere i go.

Love's truck stops have started building RV hook-up sites in some locations. We stayed at one in Prescott Arkansas for 45.00 and it was good for an over night.

Great video, we take delivery of our Brinkley Z3610 when it comes out of “Transit”. We did rent once before and took on a big trip from Dallas, TX to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, roughly 3,000 miles round trip. A tag along short video to this would be getting gas with an RV, Apple Maps was amazing to help see the parking lots also.

“Always check for people living in the woods” is by far our favorite tip! 😂😜 Truth be told we have not really done much free camping, but plan to in the future. This will be the first thing we do before setting up for the night…. We do utilize Harvest Hosts quite often, especially the farms, as we like to buy a lot of our food directly from the farm anyway. My daughter’s favorite HH was the candy store parking lot in Iowa. She referred to it as the “candy farm“. 😂 Thanks for the tips! 😁

We just discovered you guys recently. Keep up the great work - enjoy your videos. Thanks for the great tip about Del Mar, however, we haven't had great luck in getting good sleep at fairgrounds. They usually do have hookups and seem great but one time we were assigned a spot in between RVs with parties going on, and in another, a train came by and tooted its horn literally every hour.

Same here with Cracker Barrel. I have a 40 foot motorhome and to go in and check. The parking lot is very risky when you flat tow a car because you can’t back up. So I just stay away from them. In a pinch I have used many rest areas and also truckstops when I stopped for fuel.

There is a town run $5 per night campground over in the next town, it was getting abused by the "tent people" so they made a simple rule, no tents unless accompanied by an RV. Its been great and safe ever since. Those other places should do the same thing

Oh gosh no you don't Park in Atlanta or around the bypass area, the Petro Truck Stop one year few years ago had few drivers got killed they're in the parking lot area and store across the street be was stabbed to death. Yeah driving a truck it uses to to be a good place but then no. So if you park at a truck stop check it out to see if it's state etc. They use to be something to search for that.

Nothing sketchy about truck stops. they are full of honest hard working American's. Probably the safest choice in that area. Just like the WalMart's in metro areas, avoid the metro truckstops.

Hello kiddos!! It's Michelle, I'm the one who said that we'd make a great foursome because the guys would talk shop, while us girls would shop and admire all the beauty around us, ha ha ha!! Any who, if you make it back to the southwest, basically Maricopa County, Phoenix, Mesa, Glendale etc. there is an awesome Cracker Barrel by the Cardinals stadium and it shares a parking lot with Cabellas. So you can keep that in mind, or I'm sharing for your followers, too!! We definitely have awesome places in Arizona, and if anyone is looking for an amazing spot around water, I recommend Apache Lake, but you'll also come across amazing spots like Lost Dutchman, Ghost towns, and in February there is the Renaissance Festival. There are great small towns like Globe, Miami and Superstition that was were they shot a lot of the westerns in the 50-80"s. My favorite RV trip is either the Westcoast from Cali to Washington or Canada during the summer or Az-Utah-Idaho-Wyoming-MONTANA during early spring or fall!!! Love your KZbin channel and it's making me plan another RV trip in 2 yrs, so thanks for the inspiration!!! 😊

In general, we avoid towing and staying in a lot of the big cities, but when we have, as long as we stay on main highways and go straight to the campground, we’ve always had good luck and haven’t had any safety issues

⁠@@wildrvlifethe hype is because us Canadians love our Timmies. Their doughnuts were delicious (better than big American doughnut shops 😁🍩) until the big wigs decided to stop having each shop make the doughnuts from scratch & now the dough is made elsewhere and shipped. They’re still good. Love my Boston cream and their peach drink. Their salads or various types of sandwiches are really good.
