Great video and I love your channel, I have also shot thousands of rounds of freedom munitions, I really like the 147gr reman for uspsa and I use it in most of my videos. I have had some issues with the 380 in the past but not many considering it is reman, but their new stuff has been 100%

something I'd like to add. I used to own a 1911 (won't say which make) that would only fire ball ammo and feed from factory mags.. Tried many brands and projectile shapes and a number of after market mags and they all failed to chamber.. also I think the slide stop/release thing came about from Glock. I used to be a LEO and our trainers would flip if you called it a slide release or used it as such... they always stated that "Glock" refer to it as a stop! I am not trashing Glocks as I own 2 and love them...
@Militaryarmschannel7 жыл бұрын
My Glocks have always worked with their slide stop/release. Since this is how I primarily use a pistol when I'm doing reloads, I won't carry a gun that doesn't have a functioning slide release.
@AusJackal7 жыл бұрын
Military Arms Channel I use mine as a slide stop/release too...
@brianwillochell28627 жыл бұрын
I've noticed the whole slide stop/release debate kinda narrow down by how someone has or has not been trained. If you have been trained to use large muscle groups aka grabbing the slide because "it's the only way to do it" due to the lose of dexterity under stress so on and so on which is true. If you have trained or have been using the slide stop for years or it's your second nature I don't see a problem with it. Do what needs to be done and get the weapon up and running again is all that matters to me.

MAC, for every one person who doesn’t want to believe you, there are 500 who do, and half that time that guy is trolling just for the sake of trolling. If I say something that I believe and or show something that I find works for me, I don’t care what anyone else’s opinion on it unless they are going to buy me whatever they think is better. Unless the trolls are willing to give you stuff to review or pay for your expenses, then who cares. You are providing a service that no one KZbin is paying for in the first place. Some people like coke, some like Pepsi, some like both. Does it really bother you if someone doesn’t like what you like? Oh and when people talk about there own bad experience with something you may have had good with, keep in mind that ammo, guns, accessories are all made by someone somewhere and every so often there is a failure. Doesn’t mean the whole line is bad.

I use a lot of FM ammunition. 9mm, .223, and .300blk. Out of ~4,000 9mm rnds ordered (the vast majority just the 115gr RN Reman, I've had just one round that came without a primer... and a bit of powder dribbling out the primer cavity. However, with the .300blk, I had a pretty big issue where I was getting 1 out of every 7 or 8rnds with bad primers. I didn't realize this until almost a year after I had initially ordered it, because I just hadn't been shooting that rifle very much. I called FM and after a small discussion where I explained things, they got the ball rolling very quickly to replace each round that I shipped back to them (on their dime). They upgraded my order from Reman to new brass and to the grain weight of my choice. I tested the new ammo, and it so far works great. Another time, I had an order of .300blk that took a month to ship... well, they said they shipped it, I said please check again, it turns out it disappeared somewhere from their factory doors to the UPS truck. However, they then immediately upgraded my order to better rounds and had it shipped very quickly. Basically, like any other company, they will have issues. Nobody's perfect. Each and every time I've brought an issue to them, they've been very courteous, they haven't disputed what I've said (but they've verified, as is quite fair) and they have taken quite adequate strides to make sure that I'm happy with the outcome. For me, this works, as I keep going back to them. One other thing: when I bring issues to them, I do my homework and supply them with the best documentation as possible (so I have the lot #'s from the specific ammo boxes, my order # & date, my order invoice right in front of me, etc. It helps things go much smoother so that both parties can confirm what's going on. And I treat the service rep on the phone like a human being.

I use freedom munitions a lot. I've only had a couple bad rounds out of their new, but I have had a lot of problems with their remanufactured ammo. Especially some 5.56 reman. I had 250 rounds that would not feed because the cases were bulged at the neck. They did send me 5 boxes of new ammunition to replace the bad ammo, but it was a hassle and took over a month to get it fixed and they sent 223 instead of 556 like I had bought. This was about 2-3 years ago but because of that incident I won't buy their remanufactured ammunition any more. I think they have improved since then. I've always thought you did honest reviews, that's why I watch your channel! Thanks for the video, great job!

The trigger is awful. I know what they were trying to do, they wanted it to lack a pivot point and have a "1911 type straight pull" but they really-really screwed it up. The reset is in essence all the way out. If you don't fully release the trigger and pull it again, you get nothing.

Tim, I only have one gun, a Ruger SR9. I bought it on the recommendation of friends, dealers, and multiple shooters on the net. My gun eats everything brass. I tried Tula, Wolf, Federal aluminum.Instant jam-o-matic. When I shoot Federal brass, Blazer, and American Eagle, It never fails. I'd like to try Freedom Munitions, but nobody in my area carries it. So I'll stick with what works for me, and I will continue to follow your vids, I'm a big fan.

there is no need to explain yourself to us that have been with you for a while. I to use quite a bit of Freedom ammo but have had some mixed results with the reloads. all the new stuff I have purchased there runs great. as for Remington, I have owned a 7400, 870, a couple 700's, and a R51. I currently own none of them and will not be purchasing a RP9 not because of your video, but because its a Remington product. Keep up with your honest gun videos sir.

Another great video. After years of being away from the sport and after stumbling upon your channel I decided to start shooting again. Just picked up the Sig P320 and I'm trying to hunt down a CZ P10c. Thanks for the honesty in your videos. I think I need to make the 5 hour drive from Cleveland to Valparaiso and pick up a Military Arms Channel shirt direct from the source.

After watching your videos for a few years now it's no secret that you don't hide anything. You raved about your H&K VP9 and carried it for a long time. Then you did your first torture test on it and the gun choked, you beat the living crap out of that pistol because it failed so miserably. Your own daily carry gun was broken and lost it's place. If that doesn't show how brutality honest you are with your reviews I don't know what would. Keep up the great work it's always a fun and entertaining learning experience watching your videos.

Just got a 1000 round shipment from Freedom on Friday. Love the ammo and have had zero issues with it.

I’m a little late to the party on this one, but I 100% agree with ya on this one MAC. While I don’t shoot near as much as you, I have fired several thousand rounds of Freedom Munitions ammo over the last year or so, and it’s been 100% reliable in everything I’ve shot it from. My only real complaint, is that sometimes it takes a few weeks to get my order...and if that’s my only complaint, then it must not be too bad. Thanks for making this video too! I really enjoy some of the uncommon guns you use!
