This movie is truly moving and not only helps you realize the violence in public but the status of public education. Isnt it sad what this country has become? in large cites you have to worry if your gonna get shot, mugged, killed, raped, kidnapped.....The list is horribly long. In my Language Arts class our teacher said we were going to watch a movie, and it turned out to be this one. If I didnt know better, I would be inspired at how these kids had lived in the 1990's. Gangs and such were more then bad, but they had a reason to be bad. Everyone is good, its just something that keeps them from being good makes them bad. This movie was both a good lesson for me and my life.

This was a powerful movie. If we had more teachers like Erin and Ron (Clark) - The Ron Clark Story this world would be a better place. Thanks to her, Ron Clark, the late Sally L. Smith, Founder, The Lab School of Washington there are people who believe in kids and never gave up on them. When I read that Sally L. Smith died I was schocked and cried. I had the honor of meeting/intervewed by her in 1993. We need a Lab School here in S., CA and I heard they were looking. I'd love to to help out.
