This looks amazing. Reminds me of the glory days of indie movies from the late 90'/early 00's, that you could only see in those tiny theaters with two screens. If the trailer alone can make you well up with emotion, you know it's gonna be something special. Also, CARMEN FROM THE BEAR IS IN IT!!

Not really, Fremont has drastically changed this last decade. The once rich Afghan population that once lived in Fremont for the most left and moved to Tracy. It’s mostly Chinese and Indians that inhabit Fremont now.

My great grandparent’s home and 225 acre farm is in Fremont. Ardenwood Historic Farm and State Park. I love Fremont. Our family, The Patterson family, have been there for four generations..starting in 1849. The area offers an abundance of opportunities. This film looks amazing. Cannot wait to see !

and appreciative of the open space they left. I used to bicycle through it in the late 60's and Early 70's when there was almost nothing west of the Nimitz. Actually it was that farm while riding along Union City BLVD(?) that I saw a German Shepherd chase a rabbit through I think a broccoli field (near the old bridge now gone over Alameda creek) and the rabbit fooling the dog with a quick move.

Fremont is absolutely gorgeous!! I was as kind the film gods to showcase it when I was visiting the Charlie Chaplin museum in Niles...this movie is NAMED Fremont, its black and white, and well done. The gods went above and beyond my prayers!!

I just went to see this film. I call it a “staring into the camera not saying much” film. Actually I love these films, I’m in Brussels and mostly go to indie cinemas and when I leave the cinema in a 17th century building I cycle home and I feel the film is continuing and then I stare into space..

The Hawaiian song is called "Ulupalakua" and was written by John Pi`ilani Watkins. It describes the paniolo (Hawaiian Cowboy) and the ranches on the southwestern slopes of Haleakalā on the island of Maui.
