Hello. I’ve been following your channel and appreciate how you select and plan your meals. The constant theme is nutrient dense food with variety. You seem to buy what’s in season or frozen such as fish, poultry or meat. Nothing extravagant and nothing wasted. I also appreciate that you don’t select from the prepared foods or commercial snack items. You prepare enough for a few meals but everything is cooked from scratch. And your walk to and from work is excellent exercise. You are an inspiration. Thank you. Joe and Gigi.

@@user-or6yn8pm3c ordering food out seems to have become a new norm for many in the US. I especially like those who insist on having a “chef’s kitchen” but never dirty it. So they order out. Not good for you and too expensive. I never order out because I don’t know who’s preparing it, whats going into it and the cost. I always buy my fresh ingredients, freezer portion them if too large and prepare what I want at the time. Meal planning is essential to healthy living. I even make my own bread and pizza when I feel like having it. Its become my hobby. And i don’t eat late or after 5:00. Unlike Paris where fresh vegetables and fruits, fish and meats abound, not so in the US. Nothing left but big grocery stores that you must drive to. Wawa etc have become the food stores of convenience sad to say. So videos like these inspire me and others. Thank you.

Since you have a little garden on your balcony, you could grow spring onions/scallion in the US. Just cut the bottoms w the roots and put them in a pot of soil. In colder months, you can grow them in glass of water.

Hello! I love your videos! You make simple healthy eating so attractive and attainable. Quick question, I noticed you dont use an acid (lemon or vinegar) in your salads…is this usual?

Hello. Thanks for watching! Indeed I rarely use vinegar, I don't like the taste. But in France, it's pretty common to use it in salads with Dijon mustard too. In the regular recipe of the tuna salad I show in the video, there's certainly vinegar. Sometimes I make a sauce with Yogurt and Dijon mustard with a pinch of Curry powder. Have a nice day!

As you have seen in her videos, french diet focuses on home cooked meals. And eat 3 meals a day. If you can make 2 meals a day, the better. Go organic and eat plenty of vegetables, salads. Eggs, healthy fats, move more. As you noticed low sugar foods. Doesn't spike your insulin most of the time. That is why you don't get hungry every hour.
