Great review Nation! That apricot jam is my favorite jam. The isotonic drinks are weird. That citrus mint is odd. Loved this review buddy!!

That is one main that has eluded me Ken. Glad you got one. French rations are cool, although I am not fond of the nougat bar smell, LOL. I enjoy all other components in the RCIR'S. An advice from a French pastry chef, when a brown chocolate turns white on the surface it turns bad and goes rancid. Your MRE may have been old or poorly conditioned. But I'm happy to see you liked most of the food.

It looks like you opened the cardboard box from the end. I've never seen that opening style before with RCIR. However, it can be a more convenient solution than the traditional style if you want to keep something in the box for later use.

The thing is France IS the first culinary nation in the world. While a lot of culture are excellent, the sheer variety is such you only find on continents. Between the north, with is beef tallow fries, beer stew, Bretagne with its Butter oriented cuisine, the south with bouillabaisse, and lyon our true capital... Only china could compare, but china is a continent in itself.
