There are SOOOOO many health risks to having an abortion. When I was younger I was assaulted and I became pregnant. I had an abortion BUT I also ended up getting Cervical Cancer at 18 years old. No one told me that if a woman has n abortion she is 60% more likely to develop Cancer. For some like myself it wasn't just Cervical Cancer it also developed into other forms of Cancer. 18, Cervical Cancer then at 22 Ovarian Cancer at 30 with a full hysterectomy, then at 37 I developed a Grandular Cancer in my left arm as it spread from my Ovaries before the surgery. My advice is if one makes the choice GET ALL THE PROS & CONS before you make the choice. Had I known, I would've given the child up for adoption. I am 39 years old and STILL have lasting issues from an abortion I had at 18..... Plan appropriately before you take that "camping" trip.

Dude, THANK YOU for talking about the stupidity of saying "you just take a pill" and it's done. It's not just out of whack hormones, it's not just a severe period. My friend didn't tell anybody, stayed at home and suffered for hours in her bathtub. Her pregnancy was only like 12 weeks along, she had to pass the placenta, it was horrific for her. It's easy to say you don't think it's a big deal because it's just a fetus, but it's a huge, difficult, traumatic choice.

I hear so many women recommending other women to go the surgery route over the pill route because it’s so awful. The pill sounds like the easier option but you have to deal with an induced miscarriage by yourself with no help. The physical and mental pain of such an experience is extremely taxing. The fact that women would prefer tons of paperwork and then doctors forcing them open and sucking out their uterus over taking the pills just shows how traumatic medical abortions are. Of course to men it’s just “taking a pill” because they don’t have to deal with the aftermath of such a choice.

There are only 3 clinics in my state where they're allowed to perform abortions, and it takes 6-8 weeks to get an appointment. By the time my friend would have had her appointment the pregnancy would have been past the legal gestation age to have one, it's why she took the pill route. I was so upset that she chose to go through it alone too, I think because it's so downplayed women aren't prepared. The guy she was with was completely detached from it and would get annoyed with her when she'd want to talk about it. The audacity of these MFs it blows my mind lol

I still think it's a bit foolish but I just know from growing up that a lot of girls fall for guys who keep preaching that to them. As a guy who has had a lot of casual/semi-casual hookups in recent years, I can say that you never hook up with anyone without a condom. Always get your male partner to wear one. A lot of these aren't even One night stands, but girls having sex with their boyfriends. There's a large sector of men who believe that a girl making a guy wait until marriage is unrealistic and they have a lot of influence. Especially since for the most part, a lot of guys are socialized that they become a man the first time they have sex with a girl. As a girl, a lot of us are socialized that we have to please our partners to get married. You can see how disastrous that can get. Not only that but even with boyfriends/partners, there's this thing called stealthing where a guy put on a condom but in the heat of the moment, he'll slip it off because he wants to feel more. This happens WAY more often than you might believe. Even if the guy doesn't release in you, you have a chance to get pregnant. A lot of people believe that a guy achieving orgasm is all that's needed but doing it raw PERIOD is risky. A lot of why this isn't known is due to the severe lack of sex education. That shit is important. Also, while I can't speak for older generations, my gen (Gen Z, Zoomers) statistically have the LEAST amount of sex out of every generation out there. Men & Women both. Most people have only had a FEW partners and those who've had double digits (or the legendary triple digits) are actually very rare and only seem common because of the sensational nature of the internet where all of the loud weirdos are seen and take most of the attention. In reality, most people, normies, are hardly having sex. It's part of the reason why there's people freaking out about the plummeting replacement rate for babies (The rate saying that in order to maintain the populace, the average births per woman needs to be 2.5). That alone is a testament to how little people are doing this nowadays. Gen X & Boomers were actually the most sexually active....and most risky with it too, but that's also due to the lack of availability of contraceptives too. TL;DR a lot of women aren't having sex as often as a lot of people online will make you believe. It's happening so infrequently that governments (not just in America) are freaking out about population growth (in truth, they'd probably encourage unwanted pregnancies just to maintain in, ngl) P.S. I hope this didn't come off as patronizing and more sincerely informative, but I feel like because of Podcasts like Fresh & Fit, and the internet in general, people have a VERY Skewed view about how often young people are having sex. I used the at home pill in my early 20s. and I can say it was very rough on the body. First the stress of having to deal with an immature partner, thus having to do it all without them (luckily I had my mother during the forced miscarriage) I was very nervous and opted for the pill because I felt like the clinic route would’ve made me feel far more anxious so I decided I’d feel safer within my own home. I had no idea what to expect… it was very painful. I felt like vomiting at one point due to the intense pain and I have never seen so much leave my body in short period of time. I honestly think I blocked out some of the trauma around that experience just to protect myself. Women do go through so much and it is very different from the struggles men endure. Sure it builds resilience and strength but can definitely harbor a lot of undealt with emotions and pain.

I love the way you guys broke down the whole abortion process, most guys just think its a quick thing, I've had 2 abortions, one with the pill and the other time a D&C, even tho the D&C was like a 30 minute procedure, It was incredibly painful and I was emotionally scarred for almost a year, I couldn't look at my then boyfriend anymore, even tho we didnt have issues and he was with me through the whole thing, I had to end that relationship. the second time with the pill took a huge toll on my body and I wouldnt stop bleeding for months, so even tho I don't regret getting them, it wasn't something that we just do without repercussions and some ptsd

As someone who did not wrap it due to the girl I was with saying she would abort, I can safely say, I have a 6 month old daughter at home 😂 i obviously wasn't very impressed when she turned around and said she will be keeping it, but I also accepted it was my responsibility. Now I am keeping it in my pants and if i meet someone I like, I will keep it wrapped. Stay safe, and if not, be a fucking man and raise that kid. Love you Aba N Preach for always keeping it real.
