Oh girl, I feel you. I had to quit my job because it was destroying my mental health as well, but the only reason why I could be on that job for one year was because of my coworkers, they were amazing and I loved spending time with them. But when the position is not good for you when you notice how your mood and energy are changing because of it... you need to put your health first and make the hard decision, and then you're gonna realize that was the best option. You're very strong!

In you last position, amazing how our work environment can negatively impact our emotions even with great colleagues surrounding us…isn’t it! Good for you making the change happen! Firstly, Congratulations on the new job Chelsey! Secondly, this may come off as a weird coincidence but I too left my current job a few days ago, a decision I made solely so that I could center myself to do what was right in the long term, taking care of my health and finances. Also, I liked that fact that you mentioned about doing stuff that’s EASY such as scrolling down on instagram - tired after a long day at work, we’re bound to spend time on these apps, scrolling down... to our own spiritual demise. It’s great that you brought this point up Chelsey. What did you transition to career wise? How were you able to triple your salary in a couple of years? Would love to learn about your path and how you transitioned into a role that you found more fulfiment in. Currently in the grind in New York and would love any advice!

Started in NY bussing tables & washing dishes for an office, then waited tables and transition to being an executive assistant. Similar skill set for all surprisingly. None of these are fulfilling though but the money helps. I have a couple career videos that address this in more detail. Keep on the good fight 🔥🔥🔥

Omgosh u literally just diagnosed exactly what I’m going through right now and the reason for it! Bless your heart ❤️ I’m actually looking for another job and I’m only 6 months into my current one. I love my position, the team I manage and my director. May I ask did you list your old job on your resume? Did your current employer ask why are you looking to leave when you’ve been with the old employer for such a short period of time? I’m struggling to find a reasonable answer. Def a new subbie 💕💕💕

Hi!!! I did list my old job on my resume! I was pretty open with my past employer throughout my time there and tried to make it better, so they were aware why I was leaving and was gracious and understanding 🙂 When I was interviewing they did ask and I was honest also since I was looking for less of a workload - and I just did my best to spin the situation in a positive light and not complain. Glad you're trusting your gut and good luck!!! 💓
