BareBandSubscription Rosalina has a backstory, you get to interact with her in game, and she comes off as a sweet motherly figure to her Kids. She also in one of the most popular 3d mario titles so it's not that big of surprise.

IceLena She's one of the few Mario characters with actual character (Luigi, Bowser, and Wario are the only other three I can think of). I get that. That doesn't mean she's a terribly compelling one. Not to mention, each of her appearances since Mario Galaxy has stripped her away of all personality. She's about as interesting as Peach at this point, little more than an inclusion for the sake of fan service. I just don't get the insane fandom around her. She was in one (really good) game and acquired some arbitrary popularity, and now she's a series mainstay. It's just weird to me.

I think more than any other FNF, the Smash series has been the best representative of these guys just hanging out and being friends. No one was trying to prove anything, no one was so overly good at the game that it slanted the results (Liam withstanding) and everyone was just having a good time. This is why FNF is my favourite series they do.

On Ashley's Theme: I think it's better to just think of it as the Jap ver as her theme song when she was a kid but then she continued not having any friends and continued studying magic and then the way she is portrayed in the Eng ver would be what she ended up being. So Mewtwo is coming out as a DLC, right? It's just fantasy booking but I'd hope for future additional characters like Chrono, Shovel Knight, Wonder Red or even Rayman. It's not realistic but only Mewtwo would be kind of a waste. Mewtwo is awesome but they should do more characters than just one.

Sadly, Shovel Knight and Wonder Red are the only two listed that even have a remote chance of making it happen. Chrono is owned by Square who haven't really been friendly with Nintendo in a while. Same reason why Super Mario RPG characters aren't likely to make the cut. And Rayman is owned by Ubisoft who have done NOTHING but be absolute pricks to Nintendo once the Xbone and Piss4 launched. So, yeah, I'd rather not see Rayman in smash if I could help it. I'd be more interested in Simon Belmont, Bayonetta, and really a fair number of the current assist trophies getting a bump up to character status (like Little Mac did).
