NOTE: Victor Miller won ONE aspect to the lawsuit. Unfortunately, that means very little. Horror Inc can still make appeals, delays, etc. Then after that, literal YEARS of negotiations will follow about what parts of the franchise each side can use on a PER media basis, and/or splitting the profits. This of course includes new movies, games, etc. The two parties in question do like each other, and will fight tooth and nail for anything they can. So while one part of the lawsuit is over, it doesn't mean anything will be resolved anytime in the future.

We shit on BHVR for being incompetent but Gun Media/illfonic was on whole another level of idiocy. That's why BHVR has a monopoly in this field, they are simply better and care more about their game than others do. Even before they got any licenses, they had 2-3 times more players than F13 and that should tell a lot considering how huge hype was due to F13 licensing.

It's such a sad story. It always seems like the truly passionate developers always get screwed over. Whenever I saw people being rude to the devs (because of the legal B.S.) I would swiftly educate them on the truth of why development stopped. Unfortunately, I did this a LOT because people are so quick to point fingers. . The thing is, it wasn't even just the game that stopped development. It was all of the F13 merch. The company that makes F13 figures couldn't (and I think still can't) make new figures because of the lawsuit. I hope that one day they can make a sequel to the game once the lawsuit finally ends in 20XX.

@@amiibopimp852 You at least got 2 official installments over the past 15 years. They are also great games. The only thing to worry about is Ubisoft holding him hostage which isn't even all that hopeless since they separated the Rabbids into it's own thing. In the meantime all Friday The 13th fans got in the same time frame was an unofficial spinoff game that was shut down by franchise officials before a number of bugs & balances were fixed and we still have no hope for a new installment. Oh and a Mortal Kombat cameo. I guess I'll give you that one because Brawlhalla is a sad game to cameo for. No movies. No TV shows. No animated shorts like Rayman got. No full scale games like Rayman got. No official installment like Rayman got. Friday The 13th has had delay after delay in anyone anywhere making a new installment. Now it's at the point where nobody at all wants to make a new movie and the petty legal battle has essentially killed the franchise. Whoever wins doesn't matter as each side clearly has no intention of doing anything but collecting royalties. All of this happening after a full decade of franchise silence (Something Rayman has never once been subjected to) From where I'm standing, Rayman fans have it great by comparison.

Do you want to be part of a fandom that really suffers? become a Bronie. I've been a fan of Friday the 13th since I was 12/13 years old, but believe me when I tell you that the franchise, with its ups and downs, has never been as abused as My Little Pony was. Friday the 13th had its glory days in the 80s and only had three bad movies (although Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason Dies and Jason X aren't that bad compared to Rob Zombie's Halloween II) and unlike Freddy Krueger, his remake was decent, aside from Jason appearing in one of the best fighting games in the world. Personally, as a fan of Friday the 13th, I feel satisfied because the franchise gave everything it could give and its ending was not so terrible. MLP instead had: 1) his best villain comparable to the Joker was turned into a joke 2) his first movie released in theaters in 2013 was a disaster in many ways, starting with it not being about Ponies in the first place 3) bad decisions after bad decisions that changed for the worse everything that made the series interesting 4) his real first movie premiered only seven years after the show aired and unfortunately it did not meet expectations (although I liked it) and its sequel was canceled 5) two terrible last seasons being the penultimate episodes of the ninth and last season an infamous recycling of events from past seasons painted as two new episodes. 6) mediocre games (the Friday the 13th video game is at least epic and entertaining) or good games canceled for no reason and two serious cases of scams towards the community 7) and finally, little or no respect from other fandoms, and even from the producers of the series, towards MLP and the Bronies like what happened with Friday the 13th doesn't look so bad now, does it? sometimes it's not a question of quantity but of quality and although Jason's films were never the eighth wonder of the world, at least we had some fun with them and they didn't piss us off instead of other franchises that the studios have ruined like Star Wars . being Bronie is suffering, now if you really want to be a masochist then I advise you the Sonic fandom, they do have it difficult, so much so that I don't even go near it so as not to get exasperated.

Honestly, I felt the pain with this one. I remember reading about the game being made and telling my ex "I NEED this in my life" lol. When the game came out, I bought it probably the second day it was out. Put in countless hours, so many strange times and interesting moments from what I called "The Solo Queue Wasteland". I even pulled my best friend in, and we played the absolute hell out of it. Games like Dead by Daylight or even the most recent Evil Dead just can't match how the game felt. While yeah, Jason was a unstoppable killing machine and I'd say about 75% of the time if he caught wind of you, you were dead..(and more in the hands of a skilled Jason player), there was always that feeling of "If I just hammer out objectives, I can get away." or "If I just hammer out objectives, I can help others get away." There were a ton of choices and you really weren't always bogged down by if 'someone on your team was absolutely horrible but you were good' scenarios. And that made this game even better. It being Friday the 13th was amazing to begin with. But the way they made the game and the choices they put in that you could choose, the paths you could take in getting away from Jason...that's what made this game a all timer to me.

Hell, DBD is already losing the Stranger Things IP and maybe more down the line.
