This opening beat Fabiano Caruana (in the hands of Hikaru Nakamura) in Norway Chess 2023, straight up destroying a World Champs Challenger who is known as "the answer to Magnus Carlsen in Classical chess" in a need-to-win moment. Hikaru winning the strongest event of the year with the Fried Liver will be actual trivia and history.

@GrzegorzBrzeczyszczykiewicz_1 Жыл бұрын
Another good counterattack for low ELO is Nxe4. Most people take the knight back. Then you play Qh4, attacking the knight. Most the time your opponent will play something like g3, in this case you play Qxe4+ and then take the rook. Levy recorded a video on this, I recommend learning it to you and everyone else who might read this response.

This is one of the best, absolute clearest tutorials on openings I've ever seen so thank you. I have 0 plans on ever using the fried Liver since I have a conscience, but I appreciate the information and it's presentation regardless. I must ask though if it's possible for you to make a video like this on the London. Like most low Elo players I use it as my main opening, and like most low elo players I have no idea how it works after move 3, a clear video like this would be really appreciated.

There is a beautiful gambit against the eventual Fried Liver. Not the best, but sometimes called the Italian Game: Knight Attack, Ponziani-Steinitz Gambit, it involves the black knight taking on e4 after the knight attack. There is 2 traps they could fall into, either the knight taking on f7, which gives black an advantage by 0.2, or the knight taking, which when happens, the pawn will move to the d5 square, forking the knight and bishop. This gives black an advantage by 0.6, and after the bishop taking the pawn or something, queen comes in, black has an amazing center.

@icecream5125 Жыл бұрын
@@consciousmassofatomsI may be 1000 I understand a few of my mistakes so I’d give them to you : not enough opening knowledge, not enough endgame knowledge, not playing enough puzzles/ games to rise higher, takes to little or too long to move, not seeing potential trades or mates (if using pc it would be easier) , getting scared of losing rating, doesn’t know some middle game tactics. Keep in mind if you learnt all of these well u would probably rise high which might take a while even the best couldn’t learn this within their first year or 2 at a good degree. But I recommend if you check your own games in game review after you have warmed up and see which moves are bad and try to think of the best move and sequence to some degree you might get better keep in mind you need time and I’m 1000
