Thanks Kent, In these times of inflation heading toward a new depression, your cooking has been a life saver, i am eating good, healthy food that satisfies me while being cheap, Do Americans have an American of the year award? If you do then you deserve one. Not a single person from any other country on earth (Even my own) has helped me as much this year as you have and you didn't even intend to, that's what i call the American spirit.

I made these for my wife and daughter tonight. I surprised them. Now they usually really like my cheeseburgers but this was different. My wife's eyes widened and she mumbled "oh my God this is good..".... But the best is when my 16 year old daughter took a few bites and didn't say anything and then put the burger down and said "Dad this is like a spiritual experience, this is the best burger you've ever made, can you make this for my friends when they come over?" After we finished supper I showed them the video that showed the childhood hamburger stand you used to go to and the story behind it. That made it even a better suppertime. That sure looks and sounds like a good burger! I come from Sweden and we do not have the same burger traditions as you, but I still remember my grandma really making a ton of fried onions for our moose burgers. Your video made me remember that. Now, moose burgers get very dry so what she did was putting a LOT of butter on top of the patty and let it melt down into it. When the patties were finished, she´d put sliced onions in the pan and let them get soft from the after-heat. When eating, I´d say it wast 30/70 onions and meat. And cooked potatoes, since it is Sweden. No critique, just sharing lovely memories. Keep the burgers going! :D

That onion burger looks so delicious and I remember eating some here in Arkansas decades ago also and loved them. It was at a local restaurant in the area which was open and I remember how delicious it was with the beef, cheese, onions and the dressing on it.

Kent you are the first one I've seen that knows about dogs and onions....congrats! The burger looks great, but I appreciate your concern for your buddies. Had to edit, just ordered 2 of your cookbooks...Taste of Cowboy. Kent I really appreciate all you do and wanted to support best way I could. This book will be a great addition to my Mom's, sorry Mom's cook book is only for family.

A fool builds his life on sand, a wise man builds his life on a rock. When a storm comes the sand is washed away and the life is destroyed. But a rock is not washed away. Build your life on God and it will never crumble. Don't build your life on a man.

Kent, Thank you for this recipe. I made these over the weekend…Outstanding sir!! My daughter stopped by for a minute to say hi and I asked her to try one. She stayed to eat the whole thing lol. She said she couldn’t put it down once she took a bite. Enjoy watching your show!

This is the burger for me. I love vegetables but for some reason the best burgers are always the simple ones in my opinion. Onions, cheese, meat and some kind of sauce/ mayo/mustard is all I need on my bun (I'm not a ketchup person lol.)

I love a good onion burger, and I keep hearing that El Reno is the place to go? I guess everyone is proud of their OK heritage culinary delight! Used to be J&W Grill in Chickasha was the hot spot, but it seems to have cooled off a bit... God Bless you all !

My lawn care friends started talking about these last week. I made them on a cast iron on my grill. So good. Puts me in mind of a large white castle/Krystal burger. Made them again tonight, made a double. Messy but delicious
