Myriad doesn't work that way. If Blade of Selves is equipped on Legendary Creature and you swing with it, then you make tokens for each opponent for sure, BUT you have to sacrifice them when they enter the battlefield. So no combat with the tokens. Blade of Selves does work with "normal" Creatures and Legendary Creature(s) if they have enters the battlefield or leaves the battlefield ability. For exampple if you would equip Gollum, Patient Plotter with Blade of Selves and attack with him, the Ring tempts you three times and the original Gollum would attack normaly. Hope this helps

Oh yea I totally forgot it would do that because of the legendary rule, damn it. Thank you for the heads up I will need to go back to the drawing board, the idea with Gollum is great thank you, it'll help get that 4 ring tempts you fast

Great video! The following all depends on the opponents board state but can be awesome if you pull it off. Have Helm of the Host equipped to a fully leveled up Frodo and Strionic Resonator on the field. Attack with Frodo, copy the Helm trigger with Strionic, create two copies of Frodo, swing one at each of your opponents, profit.

Thank you I appreciate the feedback. I totally forgot about helm of the host, that gets around frodo being legendary with the myriad and as you say if you can pull it off it'll be a sweet finisher

How’s does Frodo work what does the scout and a citizen cost mean

Each ability is like him upgrading, so you pay the 1 white mana and you can bring frodo out who is then a citizen, then to upgrade him to a scout by ether paying 2 black, 2 white or a mix of both. After he's a scout you then can pay the last ability of 3 black and that'll make him into a halfling rogue with the ability to kill someone in one shot if he has been tempted by the ring 4 times. You can just pay the full 6 mana when you first bring him out and make frodo into the halfling rogue which is what I recommend because he's useless until he is 😂

Hello! The Algorithm sent me, probably because I've been watching other EDH deck-builds around this Frodo. The big weakness I see here is that you've only got 13 cards on the list that can trigger The Ring Tempts You and you'll need to hit four of them to make Frodo into a lethal threat. I see some tutoring in your deck list, but I find it a bit questionable that you'll maybe be tutoring for something as 'meh' as Uruk-Hai berserker. Of those thirteen, some are going to be harder to get a Tempt from than others; Boromir needs to be sacrificed, Samwise needs a very specific timing, and a couple are pretty weak. Something like Gollum's Bite is 3B for a Tempt from your graveyard; not bad if you have mana open, but could be very bad if you're pressed. From the title, I assume this channel is for inexpensive builds so I wouldn't suggest 9x Nazgul even if they're very good. Those guys are scary, key well off ring tempts, and importantly let you have 9x of them; nearly doubling your amount of Tempt cards. What I might suggest is sneaking Frodo, Sauron's Bane into a deck where Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit and Sam, Loyal Attendant are your dual commanders. This pair gives you some very reliable ring tempts (as far as Commander goes) and some card draw from Adventurous Hobbit's ability. This also gives you a third color to work with in your Commander's colour identity and more ways to get a ring tempt. I'm looking into some shenanigans with things like Mirkwood Spider, Fynn the Fang-Bearer, and Aragorn; ways to get deathtouch into play, poison counters for deathtouch, and sneaking creatures through for a filthy hit.

Awesome thank you for your feedback. Yea Im trying to keep budget and the Nazgûl are so bloody expensive 😂 It's a good option to have it in another deck and have it as a main min Wincon and most people wouldn't realise what's happening until it's too late. I always appreciate other people's opinions and it's good to hear what they think could improve the deck which then helps me make better decks

The more I look at it, the more I think the Adventurous Hobbit and Loyal Attendant combo is by far the stronger setup; you get access to a third color, and a lot more access to the Ring Tempts You and resulting card draw, but you also get some cool synergies with lifegain cards and food-matters setups. WG in the LOTR set have a lot of food cards with the various legendary hobbits, and there's the Aragorn who starts handing out cool counters (First Strike, Vigilance, Etc.) on every Tempt. I also think he basically doubles 1/1 counters if you put them on him. Could I suggest a Deck Tech based on those two? I'd love to dig into that.

I have a few decks that need uploading like Wrexial, the Risen Deep, Jon Irenicus, Shattered One and Gollum, Obsessed Stalker but I will start creating that deck to upload after

@@firstruleofnerdclub Well first, definitely subscribing to see all those other decks you have planned. I think the Adventurous Hobbit/Loyal Attendant combo should build around the Commander abilities, but where you take it from there I'd like to see. Together their abilities look like you can get pretty reliable life gain, ring tempts, and some card draw as well as cheaply use any more food you can get. In White, Green, and Black there's a lot of cards that I think play well with that and I'm excited to see what happens.

Jon Irenicus, Shattered One will be released on 21/8. It's definitely not the usual way people make the deck 😂
