The joker doesn't suggest that it's ok to shoot people. I think the idea is that people shoot when they fall through the cracks with mental illness. The movie isn't about superheroes or villains. It's about having your neck stepped on and your face spit in when you need help.

I had to rough sleep in London for months at a time. The only thing that kept me going was the thought of a warm bed and watching a movie with some snacks. I believed in my heart that I would feel comfort, entertainment, and luxury again. Now I almost take it for granted. When you have nothing and you need simple things for survival, it puts things into perspective. Never mind how lack of sleep can make your mind think in a different, crazy and somehow motivational way. I would sit on a park bench all day, talking to myself and anyone who walked by. I got beaten up while I was sleeping on a park bench because I told a bicycle gangster not to smoke weed near the children. He came back with his friend and punched me in the head while I was sleeping. When I stood up, there was no one there. I turned around and saw the grey track suit boy. It was on like Donkey Kong. I threw a punch but got hit before I could even see his face. I realised I was fighting two mother fuckers. I focused on the guy in the track suit because I beef with the other guy in the leather hat and jacket. After eating a few more shots, I decided to take him down. I got the lift and was about to dump him on his head, then his mate pulled him down safely. I held him down on the ground or a second. Let him think he could get up. I got a choke hold on him. He tapped and I said, "we don't tap in the streets." I then felt something pointy in my back. Then they made me sit down and punched me in the face. I was kind of hungry, so I literally ate a punch. His knuckles were bleeding, so he decided not to stop. I went for a walk to Camden Town because my mouth was cut. Walked back to the same park and slept on a different bench. The moral of the story is... 'Fuck what they think. It's what you think that matters'

I lost everything in a housefire, around the same time I had my truck engine sieze and bend all the valves and need to be rebuilt but it was mid covid and it took 2 months to get it into a garage.. My long distance girlfriend invited me to move back to vermont with my horses and parrots and stay with her.. She threw me out on the street within 4 days and gave serious dagger eyes as soon as i moved in.. She put halters on my horses and called animal control to come pick them up and I havent seen them since.. Then I was camping outside on the back of a friends property and had a raccoon break into my parrots cage and eat my 12 year old female conure in front of her 21 year old mate sunshine, who got ripped up badly and his life hung in the balance when I rushed him ri the vet.. He was in 24 hour vet care for months on end and during that time I was working as an electrical engineer at an I.T. company.. I slept on the swinging benches on the burlington waterfront. I showered at a gym on my walk into work and washed two of my three sets of clothing at laundromats every other night.. All of my friends, family my girl they all turned their backs on me so fast that my head spun.. I was acxused of being and addict but the truth was that the vt housing crisis came to a head around the time I lost everything. It really is that hard to find an apartment rn.. I set up a backpacking hammock at a campground eventually and set up a more permenant residence.. All I had to keep me going durring that time was my feathered friend of 21 years who was clinging to life but not showinf promisng signs.. The lady who runs the place woukd put her phone one top of his cage and let me have a vocal back and fourth with my buddy and on the days I got lucky I could get him worked up and making happy sounds with me.. Eventually I ended up with my truck back and I slept in that for the rest of the year throught to the winter working two jobs to get back on track.. Never once did I panhandle or go a day without showering and none of my co-workers knew anything.. homelessness has a lot of faces and causes.. dont judge until you have been there.. I currently live in a long term hotel and this was nearly two years ago.. It takes a long time to rebuild your life
