This is such a great idea! It is a shame that the wisdom of age is lost on the young. In our culture old age is no revered as it is in others. We are old for a reason! People tell me, "you drive like an old lady" I say "That's how I got to be an old lady!" I have never ever cared much about other peoples opinions. I just take a look at their life/situation and that is all the input I need. Edited to add, my mom used to say I did not call enough and I said the phone rings both ways.

First one is so spot on!!! Just under three years ago, separated myself from a controlling person. They had already taken over their mothers life until she passed. She was isolated controlled, and in tears almost every day. I couldn't let that happen to me too from this person. They didn't like it when I backed off. However, they had no choice. I am finally free and it's the best thing that I ever did for myself in life is to get out from people who control me because I am more quiet and appeared weak. Don't be afraid to make somebody angry because, indeed they will be. However, it's your life and you need to be in control of your own life. God loves us and I had to love myself enough to take my own life back from under her control. It's not easy losing what little family I had however, the alternative is so much worse! I'm so grateful and so thankful to God for every day.

I have replayed this message several times. Number one is imperative for all to learn, particularly the younger generations. I was in such a marriage for years,not only isolated but no freedom to be me. I was under the umbrella that the man was the head of the house. This is not so, one shouldnot control another. I now walk in love and grace and am free to be me. It is never too late to learn. God is my rock .❤❤❤

Your idea of this series is brilliant, and your skin is luminous! I think sometimes it's easier to accept or act on the 'Don't Do' list. I say this because a lot of people struggle with feelings of inadequacy, low self-esteem,etc. So when they hear the 'This is good for you' list, they resist it , either consciously or subconsciously. The control issue is so very true. I've been blessed with a clever mother who, when I started dating, warned me : be adamant about your independance and look out for the red flag sign in your boyfriends. Any time you find out he's jealous, watching your every step, just flee. Instinctively I avoided them and well I did. Some of my friends, poor girls, ended up in very toxic relations and unnhappy - even abusive - marriages. I've been married for decades now to a fine man who never, ever, would even have thought about stiffling me. And vice-versa. I'm also wary of so-called friends or relations who mingle and I cringe when I hear : you should do this, you musn't do that. Bravo dear Sandra for your accurate words.

I was happy to see from your intro that you also put ice cubes in your plants to water them. Maybe tip #9 should be: Never throw your ice cubes in the sink to melt. Use them to water your plants!

Thank you Sandra, 🤍 Summary, 1) don't let anyone isolate you (controlling person) 2) stop constantly asking other people for their opinion (don't depend on other people opinion, trust your own) 3) do not let possessions control your life (Clutter free your life) 4) impressions not based on looks (1st impression based on self confidence) 5) dont be afraid to ask what you want. 6) makeup (less is more) 7) never miss an opportunity to tell someone you love them. 8) Never too late to start again. (you are never too old to find the happiness you deserve, you can't do it just sitting and waiting for it, for every action there is a reward, if you want that reward you have to go for it, today is the day to go for it).

This is a great video!!! My mom passed away when I was young and this is the type of conversation I had always dreamed about having with her. I started a journal for my kids to find one day when I am called to my loving father in heaven. I list the things I have learned in my life. The hardest one you mentioned is not to ask others opinions. I spend the first 45 years of my life asking people I loved what would you do if….. now I ask myself and really sit with my feelings for a while before making my decision which I now 💯 make for myself. That was a tough lesson to learn. And I learned it the hard way when I did what others would do it never worked out because it was not right for ME. And I agree on less makeup. I have found that the e better I take care of my skin and diet the less make up I need. I am proud of my healthy choices and I think it shows in my skin. I look forward to all of your videos.❤

There's no getting past it, the Aussie sun is glaring and if you wear makeup on your skin, it's going to sit in your wrinkles and make you look older. The only times it looks nice is for photographic purposes or, maybe, if you're inside at night. And, you don't have to muck around - it saves heaps of valuable time - if you go barefaced.
