It is very rare to see this beautiful part of the USA, very calm and human as a dream for everyone. Magical valleys and small towns authentic as a green fairy tale. Thank you for giving us this beautiful picture as a preserved history. Greetings from Macedonia~O~

Mr. Peter S, Wow! Absolutely impressed with this 7 episode series! As a born and breed Northern California’n in my mid 50’s now, it was awesome to rediscover with fresh enthusiasm and insight, the special beauties of our state! You have genuine talent that far exceeds most anyone on KZbin! Thank you! However, I found myself losing all daylight hours, on the first pleasant weekend in Ft. Bragg, Ca. binge watching all 7 episodes! It’s got me motivated for getting out on the road! Again, thank you so much!!

I know you probably wont read this but thank you for these beautiful videos, it's the best videos I've seen on youtube I could watch 1000 episodes of these the only bad part about these videos is there was only 8 episodes. Yosemite national park is such a beautiful place, my grandma visited there with here 2 sisters who live in California or lived, they have both passed away a few years ago and same with my grandma. Greetings from Sweden.

This whole series has been a treat to see. Fabulous insider views from Peter & exciting to see Nana's reactions to some of the really different culture on the other side of the pond. This one with lake Tahoe has an amazing terrain & such a lovely lake too. Thanks guys for taking us on this virtual ride with ya !

I was raised Santa Clara and have been to all the places you have shown on this series. I moved away from California 11 years ago for job related reasons and miss California everyday. I feel you are my soulmate because I believe that Northern California is so beautiful. I always have thought Big Sur is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen and when you said “what about Bill Murray “ thats when I said I really like this guy! I love Bill Murray . Thank you so much for the tour down memory lane and all the explanations of these places that I never knew.✌🏻

Ugh, I love this area so much. It was my "backyard" growing up. I was born in Placerville and spent so much time in this area for the first 10 years of my life. I had a bunch of snow experiences like that too. I moved to the Seattle area when I was 10 and still live here now, but I go back to Placerville and Tahoe whenever I can. I got my love for backpacking from growing up in the Sierra mountains on the California side. So much so, I did the 4 day backpacking trip through the Peruvian mountains Inca Trail to Machu Pichu. I am so grateful for this experience!

I have enjoyed this series very much. We lived in CA for many years. Raised our children there. You have shown the greatness of the state. But our family it became very difficult. At the end we lived in a lovely small town along the central coast. LA started the invasion. We were not willing to change. We left CA. I had forgotten the good. Thank you for the reminder.

Love seeing my back back yard (I live in Roseville) from the perspective of a foreigner on tour with a local. I’m always reminding my friends when we’re in these spots how special they are especially the eastern shore of Tahoe in the summer.

Excellent series!!! You did an amazing job of showing the beauty of the northern part of the state. I'm a Ca native, lived most of my youth and early adulthood in the Bay Area. I get so enraged at all the crap people talk about Ca, online. Yeah, there's downsides, like politics, homeless, trashed landscapes. But there is also so much more beauty than all the negatives combined. I traveled the world while in the military and the country when I did a few years as a truck driver. One thing that taught me was, everyplace is what you make of it. California will always be my favorite state. Followed closely by all the other western and south western states. Thank you for all you do!

I just discovered your Northern California series and watched all 8 episodes back to back in one sitting. I am a native northern Californian in my mid-80s who grew up in Healdsburg, Sonoma County, have lived all over the US and now live in Washington state. Your series was so very well done and so very nostalgic for me! In the late 1950s I spent a couple of summers in the Truckee/Tahoe area working in saw and planing mills while working my way through college. As a young adult I worked in downtown San Francisco for several years. I can't imagine a better introduction to my favorite city than your walking tour with Natalia! I would love for you to do another Northern California series that includes Sonoma, Napa and Mendocino Counties, as well as others farther north in the state.

When I was in my early teens .. my parents took us kids from our home in North Carolina .. all the way to California to visit my mom's parents and some cousins. We went to China Town as well as Lake Tahoe .. I got the worst sunburn on my shoulders and back .. blisters I had to suffer through all the way back home. The water was clean and clear .. amazingly clear! That was in around 1962. Amazing to see this and learn more about it.

I have loved your trip through my home state… I forget how diverse it is and how very lucky I am to live in a state that houses so many different terrains and cultures from the Mountains to the Valley to the Ocean to the desert… we can experience it all within a few hours drive in any direction. Especially when you live in the middle. We grew up in the San Joaquin Valley (Visalia) where my dad and his dad raise citrus. Navel oranges 🍊 predominantly. Everyone talks about wanting to leave, but actually it’s always been a pretty great place to call home!

Every two years my mom and i would take a trip to together. Anytime we headed south, we live in Plumas County in NorCal, we would stop for a minute at Mono Lake, then dpend a night at Topaz Lake, before heading home through Reno. Our last trip together, we went to Bodie. It was so interesting. If you're back in Northern California, you should visit Lake Almanor and Chester, take a hike up to Mount Lassen, and also see the Shasta Caverns. The lava tubes ar Hat Creek are interesting as well.

I was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe. I've lived here all my life except for a few years when I lived in Europe. The most tragic thing about Lake Tahoe now is the complete lack of respect tourists have since Covid happened. This last 4th of July, some beaches were left like literally dump sites with tons of trash removed by locals the next day. I wish that the people who visit Lake Tahoe would show more care. It's gotten to the point that the tourist culture has slowly started to out weigh the benefits of living in Lake Tahoe, and many long time locals are moving because it just isn't a great place anymore.
