From Altaï to western Russia - Keep driving

Altaï - where Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia and Russia meet - and especially the Katu-Yaryk pass, was the turning point of our Silk Route endeveaour in an Iveco Daily 4x4 expedition camper. From there it was only 7500 km back home ;-), with a small detour via Yaroslavl visiting some friends.
Amazmaz is a guelta in Mauritania. A remote and beautiful spot, a source of water and life in the middle of the desert. Chances are low that we will ever visit it. But the mere idea reminds us to keep dreaming about distant places.
