Thanks for another recovery story Raelan, always grateful to hear them. 20 years of ME/CFS for me now and unable to work for last 3 years. After carefully living off my savings the first 2 years, I'm now in receipt of a basic benefit which means I can only afford to houseshare. I'm fortunate as it's a wonderful houseshare but I have no money for any therapy. I wasn't raised by my parents so I've had to get on and do my best without family support. There is no medical support in the UK where I live, and I believe it is fear around held trauma which is holding back my recovery. My hope is to recover and raise the understanding and create resources so everyone can be supported with ME/CFS as part of our health service. There must be many people like me who are stuck without therapy due to limited finances. It stings. Love and hope to all ❤

Fiona is a gem! I am working with her currently and she is so supportive and compassionate. 7 years into my recovery, having sessions with her has been truly helpful. I’ve noticed progress and an overall calmer nervous system in just a few weeks. I also used the Gupta Program three years ago (and recovered 70-80% at that time). The individual work with Fiona is helping me out of a recent crash from COVID and POTs symptoms.

Is the Gupta program good for chronic pain? I got over chronic fatigue syndrome for the most part but I’m left with TMJ irritable bowel syndrome and trigeminal neuralgia. Wondering if Cooper would help that or is it just good for chronic fatigue.

Great to hear different stories of recovery. I did the lightning process after 1 year of being 'stuck' plus daily meditation and yin yoga. After 4 years I tried cranial sacral therapy and this has been the final turning point for me. I know feel like I'm finally living again. Recovery is possible try anything and find what works for you

@meganobrien1019 yes everything I have tried has helped in one way or another but for me cranial sacral therapy has been the last missing piece plus I would say that sorting my hormones out has also helped (peri menopause). Lp was my first catalyst and cst the next, meditation/vagus nerve sound baths help me daily.I can now see a future of returning to work after nearly 5 years 😁

Thank you for this interview! I've watch over 50 so far, and it is clear there are just so many roads to recovery. This one however, evoked such a deep emotional response...the only one so far, and I think this is because it speaks to the root of the issue for me. It is about getting out of my 'head' (the masculine approach...which is also very helpful) and into the heart...the feminine approach, which I am deeply missing. Thank you! 💖💞

I recommend reading the book Healing Back Pain by Dr.John Sarno MD. He says to heal you do not need to know what the exact thing you are frustrated/angry/anxious about. You just need to learn the mechanism of what the body is doing and approach a new line of thought about it. I healed after 10yrs of agony. In 3 days. The book is not only about back pain. There are also videos on YT where he talks about the method. It's all psychological although the effects are physiological.
@santeenl
@santeenl 17 күн бұрын
Hey, sorry to say, but healing takes some time. Connecting to emotions is good, and it can make symptoms disappear, but there is a lot of trauma and emotions stored in your body. This process will be at least a year.
@KJ-lb4tj
@KJ-lb4tj 15 күн бұрын
@@santeenlthis is what is called gaslighting. It's ok if you hold a different opinion to what the person shared here about their experience. They simply shared what the book they read said and how they had healed in 3 days. It's perfectly ok for you to believe you cannot heal in under a year, but it's also perfectly ok for this person to hold they opinion that they healed in 3 days. What happened to one person does not affect the opinion you are entitled to, nor does it deny this person's reality that they healed in 3 days.
@santeenl
@santeenl 15 күн бұрын
@@KJ-lb4tj People can remove themselves from the solution in a relapse. Although relapses don't really exist. If you find the solution, just keep applying it and over time life gets easier. I can hold space for someone's opinion, but I know for a fact it's impossible to change your beliefs and trauma in 3 days. It will only send wrong signals to people who are sick for years. So no, it's not gaslighting, it's stating facts. Healing and changing yourself and finding your authentic self takes time.

Mickel again ; AAAAAAHHHHHH. Please listen people , mickel is not a miracle therapy. Like lightning process it works for a few people. But, it is expensive and did not work for me , or for 3 people i know. You have to identify these " keys" ( emotions) . Good luck with that. If you've got loads of money, give it a whirl; if not, steer well clear. I am of the opinion, in this poor struggling community that the two words miracle therapy should be banned. I am deadly serious .
@verenasu2037

Im a Mickel Therapist too and I see really good results. Usually your therapist supports you in finding the right emotion and action until you can do it yourself. People are not always willing to make the change that is needed, without blaming them. It is a simple concept but doing it is not easy. I think it does not work for everyone for several reasons just like other therapies do not work for everyone. I think it would not keep popping up if it would not work for a lot of people. I wish you all the best for your revovery path, you will get there too one day

@dommccaffry3802
@dommccaffry3802 20 күн бұрын
Thats me too ; exactly the problem. No, you are not rubbish. People are very complicated and different , particularly if underlying trauma is involved. Mostly , people have a tangle of different and sometimes conflicting emotions and fears and desires and the full gamut of human stuff . The simplistic and facile approach of the mickel people will not work for a lot of people , and for those people it will drive them even more into fight or flight ; desperately trying ( and mostly failing) to identify the "key". I know ! Im feeling a bit lonely today ! I'll ring my mum .... bingo! Symptoms all gone!!. Or whatever. Like i said in another comment , it is NOT a miracle treatment and should not be described as such, particularly in a title of video. Obviously its a miracle for people who recover in 5 minutes, but for most people NO . Oh, the MIRACLE word has been removed; thank god for that at least.

Its not that hard really. Its mainly emotions of fear, sadness, body is annoyed/bored or anger. Every sudden symptom increase is a emotion message with one of the above emotions being send. It it easier to imagine the body as a small child u take care of for the moment. If u dont know if the child is sad or angry u cant really help the child in a way that it will need its need met. Tune in with ur body, if someone is mean to you, your body is usually angry. If u get symptom increase doing nothing ur body is bored. Once u get the hold on it its easier every time but at the beginning you will need some help from a practitioner and that's why its good to have them :)

I think it’s wonderful for those that have recovered to help others recover. What I disagree with are the coaches that charge $150/hr and up without having a license behind it. I can see paying that rate for someone that is a therapist, social worker… that has overall mental health experience, but the EGO of those coaches that just have their own personal experience and charging outrageous fees to those suffering/struggling is ridiculous. I have been an RN BSN nurse x 29 years specializing in addiction and mental health and I make less than $45/hr. I have no desire to make videos or coach, but I do “coach” every day I work and more.

Yes, see a functional medicine doctor (ideally one who is an actual doctor) who specialises in chronic disease if you can. Otherwise you 1. Check for SIBO and 2. do a 3-day stool test with someone like Genova Diagnostics and try to muddle through on your own. Process is different for everyone but typically includes an elimination diet +enzymes followed by reintroduction followed by repopulation. Upping fibre is important in the long-term but I appreciate is hard with IBS. Presume you’re taking H1 and H2 blockers.

I would recommend looking at Dr. Ruscios KZbin channel. The cause isn't the same for everyone.

@@sla1xyz agreed better to see a doctor. If you are US-based the ME/CFS Clinicians Coalition has a list of doctors, some of whom are functionally trained, but they also have a vast network; they may be able to make a recommendation.

@@k41418 yes, its possible. I had it 9 years and it all stopped within 2 weeks once I decided to let go of all that I thought I should to with my life and fully committed to following my passion. Its wild and unbelievable but just showed me that there is a reason why we have these symptoms, usually because we are living a live thats not authentic to us and we are not honest to oursleves about it.

@@rachellemurray2696 unfortunately have tried all types of drs. Gi, naturopaths and functional and none of their suggestions or protocols worked. I'm assuming it's a stressed nervous system and anxiety that are the issue. Fibre is a hard no for me unfortunately. Carnivore with the odd other food seem to work best.
