Lara is so 😍 cute. She's lucky to have a loving papa . Happy family and stay blessed 🎉🎉

That would be a great title/moniker for Michael, in my opinion: Papa. He has said little Larra calls him Tito Michael , which I’ve heard her use in prior vlogs, but that’s a mouthful. & he is more to her than the traditional Uncle role. I originally thought Tatay would’ve been nice, like their friend Frank uses with his stepchildren with Fel. Not Tatay Michael, just Tatay (means Father in Tagalog). But I think Michael does seem more like a Papa or Daddy😘 , & I’ve always been partial to Papa or Poppa. It is sweet sounding, but with a scoop full of authority. It is more Western or European, which does fit Michael’s origins/heritage. & some Filipino families also use Papa, probably due to Spanish influence. .

….also reminds me of like St Joseph, esp in beginning with looking for home, “building” a “new” home, beginning of relationship with Miss Catherine: helping & providing for her, Michael working so hard. (Miss Catherine works beryvhad, too!) In the belief system I follow, St Joseph is patron saint of workman, carpentry, finding new homes, travel, family -especially single women & child protection, & much more. The similarities struck me😊

Please excuse more advice giving. 😊Vloggers’ occupational hazard⚠️. Perhaps consider enrolling li’l Miss Larra in formal swimming lessons. Michael & Catherine can teach her to swim, but the peer socialization maybe could be nice & could be less of a self conscious/shy provoking activity for her, as they are all in the water (usually no mirrors).// Don’t get me wrong, I LUV the dance class! Luv luv luv! & I agree with Michael & teacher & viewers’ comments that shyness & reticence is totally NORMAL. It may be difficult to fit in even more activities especially with the chock full schedules, but sometimes it is nice to have variety & swimming is excellent exercise, too.

As parents, I know you have good intentions, but this is not a matter of a stubborn child. Lara is suffering from paralyzing anxiety. Her senses are overwhelmed with everything in the new environment, and it causes her to shut down out of fear. When this happens, she needs to be able to leave the situation. Be the hero, pick her up, and help her calm down away from the source of the anxiety.

The Philippines is a small country. Just like Noah’s Arch (ship), there are limited space for everyone to live and make money. Unless you’re a billionaire, you will have a hard time living a comfortable life in the Philippines. The Philippines is a big service industry that caters to people with no money only. You will never get something for free in the Philippines (girlfriends, wife, lovers). Everything in the Philippines is for sell.

@wintersojourn9356Ай бұрын
Hello, Larra usually calls him Tito Michael. 🙂They’ve said that in reply to questions on Livestreams & I’ve heard her address him thusly on prior vlogs. But she just turned 4, you know probably or remember at that age (she has only known him since she was 3, less than a year total yet if I recall correctly), remember how easily little ones can get a bit confused if adults all around call people by their first name. That’s why many of us call our spouses Papa & siblings Tito or Tita etc when the children are still young & learning. Michael is Canadian so I suspect he is not as devoted to the specific titles as the Philippine culture peeps (me 2 & I am not even from Phil but have a parent from!) I am of older generation too so culture & my age maybe influence me & I agree with you; sounds “off” to me to hear a child call an adult by their first name. Especially an adult in a role of parent. But we are all always learning, sometimes you even have to remind a teenager, hey! You know my name (it is Mom or Mama)🤜🏽😆They all go through that testing or joking stage. Well maybe only here in USA. Others may disagree & that is up to the family, but just wished to let you know Catherine, Michael & Larra have been using Tito. I’m advocating for Papa though!
@wintersojourn9356Ай бұрын
Oh correction, she just turned 5 I think, met him when she was 4! But Mike initially SAID she was 3 then corrected himself. I’m nothing if not a good listener of TPL😆

@@wintersojourn9356 you hear her calls tito michael??? Ive watched morethan 10 videos of theirs together and ive never heard the adorable little girl mention the word tito.. They are in the philippines not in canada and the mother is a pure filipina from the province and 1 week is long enough for a 5 year old kid if you teach her what to do the right way....again ive never heard filipino children of any age here in my own country calling an old man by their name....even in the poorest community ive been to kids always addressses old people either uncle, auntie, tito, tita, lolo, lola, manang or manong never by their names....never...i wonder how the teachers and the older filipino people with great filipino values will react to this one if theyd be able to watch this video...seems like the dude is slowly influincing western values and culture to them cat and lara.....really not good for the country if many or more foreigners are like this
@marilouduhaylungsod7869Ай бұрын
@@wintersojourn9356 i get your point, couples here often calling mama and papa or mommy and daddy so their infant child can slowly follow them but filipino couples are only doing this so their infant babies will slowly understand and learn how to call them mama or papa because thats the first word we always teach to our infants...children in the philippines who can speak and are able to comprehend simple orders already regardless of social status and even if they relatives will automatically address old people by calling something like kuya,ate lolo or lola...so again 6 months is too long enough for a 4 or5 year old kid to be confused to properly address old people becauase it should be automatic for them to call such respectful way of calling old people....a filipino kid calling old people by their names is shocking and shameful
@wintersojourn9356Ай бұрын
@marilouduhaylungsod7869. Ty for ur reply. Thanks for reading my long comments & your thoughtful response. I see ur point as well🙂. I feel I know a lot about Filipino culture primarily because of my heritage & close extended family, but in reality I never lived there, only visited a handful of times in a long life. I defer to you…yep a “but” is coming, not a disrespectful “but” I hope! But even for the norms of a society, everyone is unique, too. 4 or 5 years old is imo very very young, & children respond differently depending on their personalities & many other factors, to changes. Yes they are resilient & flexible, & good learners, but little Larra has had a ton of changes in a relatively short time. Moved (twice), new family members, less contact with prior always present family (grandparents, cousins, other relatives), new work of her mom in a new business, many new surrounding friends & associates of her parents (M & C). & lots of the people around are Westerners, most esp Michael himself. So she may pick up different mannerisms. (I’m just guessing that Michael may not mind being called his name & she picks up on that). But I would bet she still calls her Lolo & Lola & her Mama & kuyas & Ates etc by their correct titles. 🤔btw I like ur surname. Reminds me of a name of someone I know & admire. Rather uncommon name in my experience. Ending with the lungsod”
