This episode brought me great memories of my childhood. My neighbor had one of those 60's F-250s and I thought it was the coolest truck in the world. Now something I didn't see in the video was one the F-250 crew cabs from the 70's. Man I want one of those so bad.

First "new" vehicle I bought was a '79 Ford pickup, 300 six, short wb, lots of chrome. Best little rig I ever owned. Cost $7,000. here in eastern Canada. Thanks for the show.

It is easy to forget that pick up trucks were simple, utilitarian tools. They were meant to haul stuff pretty much anywhere, on the road, on the farm or on the work site. Considerations of comfort placed a distant third behind utility and ruggedness. That the new trucks are better tools than their predecessors and can also be comfortable, stylish and status symbols as well is a tribute to the manufacturers efforts.

I don't forget and I wish that were still an option today. Imagine being able to afford to buy a vehicle.

Nice to see the old iron. Not Dad, but my uncle had the vermillion blue Ford. His was a 1982. He put well over 300,000 on that thing.

It's pretty cool seeing some of my truck's ancestors. Mine is a 2009 F-150, one of the very early versions of the 12th gen.

Shouldn't that intro have said, "Going back to the F-1," not "Going back to the F-100?" Also, that was not the correct interior for the F-1.

Thanks for comment but you don't get it at all. Ford is introducing the new F-150 on Monday. It is the best selling vehicle in America for the last 30-years as Roman stated in this video. That's why we published this historical look at the F-150.

Thanks for the tour. Bought my first new truck in 1972 and maybe its old age but I liked the older ones a lot more than the current bunch and that includes my 12 F150 Max Tow Ecoboost. Did some car lot browsing today. A F450 Lariat crew cab had a Factory MSRP of $72,355. The Fast Lane Truck
