Went from a Price is Right Model, to Reality Shit Show Star in 30 seconds. The good news is you didn't quit. You went home and did your homework, and have never made that mistep again. And now you're SnapOn's greatest asset. Always remember, Any day that nobody dies, is good day! Stay Well ❤

Great Video Val. You are a great salesperson. I’ve been on the floor for 25 years. When I was 18, I didn’t even know how to do an oil change. I had to learn the hard way. Dealing with the public is hard enough, not mentioning having to be in sales.

I was trained by, a BMW race team, crew chief. The first thing you learned in his class, before you even picked up a tool. Was what the tool was called, and how to use it. A tool salesman came into class, and attempted to give a demonstration. He picked up a, flat blade screwdriver, nsaid, you can use it to pry with. Because, the blade is so strong. Mr Delgado interrupted him immediately. And said, a screwdriver, is not a pry bar. Get out! That was the last tool demonstration we got, from a salesman. Once upon A time, technicians were responsible for training other technicians. Somehow the system got circumnavigated to support the sales industry. And if you really really really really really think about it... Snap-on isn't even selling tools. All they sell is long-term financing contracts. And if you're looking for the richest guy in the shop... You're looking for the one that doesn't participate in long-term financing contracts... He probably learned that lesson, on a Ford.

We all have had embarrassing moments . I’ll tell you a crazy story . I was 16 and I was working at a Benz dealer 1st job . I was a helper and I went to grab a scanner that looked like it wasn’t being used and hook it up to the car for the car I was helping . Well the scanner was being used by a guy in the shop who was a real SOB . He screamed at me and got in my face and treated me like a huge piece of crap . Weeks later he was changing motor mounts and his hand got stuck underneath the studs as the engine came down on his hand .Nobody ran to help him right away . He broke a bunch of bones and was out for a long time . Moral of the story is make sure you ask before you take a scanner off a car and if you have a new person in the industry. Especially if it’s a kid be nice karma is a bitch .

Well, Val, I’ve just recently started watching some of your short videos. Thank you for being honest, I think in real life I’ve met two Snap On dealers that were not complete A holes or crotchety and a little slimy. Many of them don’t understand that they don’t need to be pushy and they need to be willing to have open discussions with their customers.

You’re a great sales person. The first part of any sale is to get the clients attention. You have that mastered.

There is no shame in admitting you don't know. The shame comes when you pretend to know something and it is discovered that you don't know.
