Great interview. Kudos to both Brent and Andrew. I really hope that when all is said and done, the outcome for confrontative this problem is as positive as Andrew believes it to be.

I'm currently 72 years old, am in excellent health, strong, vital and am frequently mistaken for someone 20 or even 30 years younger. Is it reasonable to expect that I can live long enough to see an eventual solution to longevity, or was I born too late?

You never know, we had a huge leap with technology and computers through the last 2 decades. I'm positive that you have a bigger chance than most of your generation.

Check out the paper published by David Sinclair's paper on Yamanaka factors. I believe that you should be able to make it to longevity escape.

It was the same for me and my grandmother. She was vigorous and healthy until she started to decline at 80, then rapidly at 85, and at 88 went to a nursing home, where she quickly developed dementia. It was a blessing, because she was so out of it that her situation didn't bother her. I often visited my grandma in the nursing home in the last two years of her life and kept thinking, "Why do we just accept this as normal? Is this really what we've worked so hard as a species for? To end up in diapers and a wheelchair at the end of your life?"

You are wrong about Testosterone and life span... I am Greek... My Great Grandfather lived to 101, my Great Grandmother lived to 97. I have his blood tests and a fertility test he did when he was 98. He could still reproduce that late in life and his blood test had a Testosterone level of 865 at the time. And he was still working on his olive trees up to his last days...Most men on Ikaria island out live their wives. Also look at Dr. Life his Testosterone level is 1200 with TRT he is 83 this year.
