Losing that fire sounds very familiar. What a journey to rediscover that. About the cognitive dissonance, love and hate are two sides of the same coin. It you hate something, if you stick around that coin might flip and turn into something you love. That describes the examples that were given a bit so to say.

You are right, it’s a lot about the narratives. A lot of great legacies in Chinese tradition and culture are unknown by American people because of lack of positive communication and “let-know”. @Jesse should be an ambassador of it. 😊

I like your intriguing and soul searching questions! A suggestion @jesse if I may, ask more open ended “wh” questions might be more effective than yes/no and “is it…or…” questions 😊
