Robert Shaw is by far the best Bond villain to me. He is truly scary. Other ones are either theatrical, or downright too outlandish. In general, that's why FRWL is my favorite Bond: a down to earth spy thriller with Connery in top form. And he had a fantastic chemistry with Pedro Armendariz as Kareem.

Funny thing, despite playing a cold blooded KGB/SPECTRE operative, Lotte Lenya was quite gentle. She was both an accomplished opera singer, staring in operas composed by her first husband Kurt Weill, and a trained dancer.

More Rosa the Knife than Mack the Knife, the song written by Kurt Weill in which she is mentioned.
@Elitist20
@Elitist20 Жыл бұрын
When Weill died in New York in 1950, she was alone. There's a story about Kitty Carlisle Hart going over to visit her after she called to say 'Kurt has died.' When Kitty arrived at her apartment she found Lotte standing in the hallway, holding a piece of sheet music, and saying 'Kurt is dead. Nobody likes me. And I can't read music.' Her 1920-30s voice had been a normal soprano, but with her smoking and her getting older, it had become the raspy voice we now associate with her. She had to develop a way of speaking/singing to perform the Brecht/Weill songs and help to keep them alive.

That same punch if landed by the Hulk would have caused Grant to land far far away from that area!!!! Lol!!!!🤣🤣🤣

0:33 It's so funny how all three of them seems to be dubbed. And the words we hear don't seem to correlate with their lips and what they're actually saying.

The picture was rather carelessly made (see all the continuity errors) and it probably carried over into the redubbing process. Maybe the director was too busy playing cards or playing with himself to keep an eye on such minor matters.

@@None-zc5vg Dr No also had continuity errors. In the very introduction to the Bond character there's blatant errors. Keep watching the cigarette in Bond's mouth and you'll see 😄

He seems fit enough? Yer think? So why when Bond stabbed him with an itty bitty knife did he allow 007 to turn the tables on him in the train fight? Just asking.
