The reason why Jim isn't healing quickly like everyone else is he is angering the place "from". We already know the people who just live and do not go out asking questions heal unnaturally quickly. I think 2 things could happen next show. Jim who stated "I won't let this place to turn me into something I'm not" . So the town, is gonna most likely turn Jim into a killer in order to save Donna. Or, and this is my craziest theory ever. Randal is Donna's son and they are out in the woods to kill Jim because he's been asking too many questions, and Victor says , "people who go looking for answers, never come back" . I know , I did say that is my craziest theory.

The actors said episodes 6 and 10 are the best episodes this season. I wasn't expecting an action packed episode at all in between. It's a mystery, you have to be able to pay attention to detail.

Haha thanks for adapting and expanding my theory! I’ve also started to think that the symbol represents the 3 dreamers mentioned in the riddle. To me it looks like a landscape looping into itself with 3 overlapping trees. I think it represents their 3 faraway trees converging together at a single point, or rather their nightmares converging together to create a loop in reality. They will need to find the point where all of their dreams connect (possibly the lighthouse or where they will find the music box). A more sinister twist would be if they have to lock them in the lighthouse themselves like the children that were originally causing the nightmares

Ooh my god, something just occured to me rewatching episode 4 of season 2. I think the tower of bricks tabby keeps seeing and the wooden puzzle ethan gets from kennys mom, is supposed to represent the lighttower. Thats why tabby started seeing the children after seeing the brick tower. Because they were in there

Looking at the first couple of episodes again, I believe the clues were there. "Lake of tears," julie and eithan talked about it. Research the story behind it. It fit the show. Julie shirt said illusion. Maybe it's all an illusion.

I feel like victors mom found the answers on how to get out of the town and found the answers to the children and much more and that's why she told victor after I save the children from the light house WE ARE LEAVING THIS PLACE. I belive she found the answers to leave 'FROM'

EVERYTHING I SUSPECT: The whole "eldritch horror/aliens" ideas have a huge overlap potential. Nothing says they can't be both in a Lovecraft way. The "you have to get out before the music stops" seems to be tied to the blood circle- we see several in the book- all leading up to the one with three points downward. I think that's a countdown. Each circle is an event leading to the town massacre/reset. Possibly the "but then someone screamed because the spider came down from the ceiling" event Ethan was talking about in his post seizure dream. The Circles might be a map to the Faraway Trees- how to get to the Lighthouse and out before the Red Monster thing can catch them? Each cycle has the same general character slots- possibly indicating a game reset with characters either being refined or plucked from alternate realities. I say that last bit because we see Jade talking to himself about wormhole theory- and he "created a whole company from pure imagination" prior to arriving. Victor's mom seems to be wearing the same bracelet that Tabitha said she made for Jim. She also has two children like Victor's mom- a boy and girl. She also tells her daughter to look after her brother- a reverse of what Victor's mom told him. Sarah's brother was the town farmer- he died and was replaced by one of the bus guys (the one that was in the bar with poor Julie). He outright says "I grew up on a FARM, remember?" But the monsters got him (though we never saw it) and now there's a food shortage. Then there's the numbers. The town keeps the same number of people all the time. Count the deaths with new arrivals and you'll get the same balance over and over. New people mean new deaths. There's the school turned "medical building"- with old Halloween decorations on the floor. I believe that what made the monsters was part of the 1950s cycle. The monsters were high-schools seniors at a Halloween Dance- explaining why we see a Cowboy, a Nurse, a Milkman, a Bride, etc. They're wearing COSTUMES. The rest of the monsters are either dressed for the dance- like the ones that got into the Colony House. Or they're school staff and chaperones. The monsters have dessicated organs because the humans died 730 years ago. Lastly, there's The Cromenackle. Ethan's story seems to be a guide on how to get through the cycle. There's a "Lonely Dragon with a "cave full of discarded things no one wanted that everyone thought was trash but the Lonely Dragon saw as treasure ". Is that Kenny's mom- Ms.Chen? She's lonely, has the storeroom full of old possessions AND has the name "Tien Chen"- a Dragonball Z character name!? Is the Lonely Dragon's cave the monster tunnels? They're also full of discarded stuff. American Pickers would love this town. Lastly, CAN it be all a dream? Boyd tells Abby's grave "maybe I'm in a hospital bed and you and Ellis are trying to wake me up" and Tabitha hit her head real hard in the RV accident- then when she's dreaming of the inside of the Lighthouse, Jim drops down upside down - just like in the RV crash and opens his mouth to the sound of the RV's horn before the crash. Is THAT why the voices told Sarah to kill Toby (Jade's friend)? Because he'd know it all wasn't real? The children were drown in the Brundels/Lake of Tears. That's my guess. Their bodies are down there but their souls are bound to the Lighthouse

@@grngchdry4169 Several ways- if it were a simulation and Toby was in charge of art development, he might have hired the actors the monsters were scanned from for motion capture. He might have recognized the interior "set" of the school/hospital building. He might have just set Jade on a different investigative journey than whatever powers that be wanted for him. There's got to be a reason that the Voices made Sarah frame the monsters- and that has to be, at minimum, because they wouldn't have dismembered Toby, which would have been suspicious.

I think next episode will be wild. They're all probably trying to stay awake like Boyd said sleep in shifts, and I think Randall will die, there's no room for him going forward. He'll probably do something stupid like try to kill or catch a monster to "prove" they aren't real and it'll kill him.

still trying to figure out why victor's sister's drawing of the lighthouse showed the glow of the lamp all over the ground underneath, she used the same yellow crayon as the beacon & i don't know if that has any meaning or connection to anything the show hasn't revealed yet. it's another of the weird details like the year dates in the tunnels, hope there's more information on some of these by the end of ep 10, & something more than victor's mumbles to the bit about the kids in the town being kept in the lighthouse, like by who & why

A bigger question is the timeline of events. Victor said Eloise said the tower was where his mom went that night everyone died. How? How did she tell him that unless she survived and came back, drew the picture and died some other way?

Nothing about that makes sense. Why would she carry the baby to term only to drown it? She's got a doctor there. It's not actually that hard to give someone an abortion even without a doctor. Never mind the fact that she's thrilled to not be infertile anymore. She was just scared "they/the town" was mocking her and she's not really pregnant.

@@scottwolf6213 you’re right. That’s very true. But he doesn’t look like either of his “parents”. I know someone doesn’t need to look like their parents to be their child. But generally there’s a similarity somewhere to someone, on one side or the other. Also he has a grandma. Ellis’s mom is dead. Could be Fatima’s mom I guess? He also doesn’t say he’s adopted at any point. Or that his parents are dead. In fact he’d go visit his grandma every Sunday, which means he lived somewhere else ever other day of the week. Nothing points to him being their son… other than he’s another black man in Fromville.

Ok so hear me out I have almost nothing to back this up yet but still think Martin is an old version of Victor. I know the marine tattoo on his arm disqualifies him for most, but think about this .. Victor is the only one whose arms you've NEVER seen. Everyone there has worn a short sleeve shirt or rolled up sleeves but Victor ALWAYS has long sleeves. Doesn't matter if he's out in the heat digging holes or sitting in his house drawing... Long sleeves. Also he was the first one to notice Boyds worms and didn't seem too shocked about them. I don't see this show lasting long due to bad writing. People Keeping secretss, killing off the main likable monster Smiley, No answers. I hate when Kenny lied to Boyd about the bite on his arm knowing Boyd had worms, im glad he told them towards the end. He could've just told him the truth in the beginning. I hate all the secrets. The only interesting story is Randall kidnapping Donna that alone is better than anything they did in this show. I want Randall to be a badass

Season 1 ended with them finding the lighthouse, Jim trying to get contact with the outside world and about 20 unexplained mysteries. Season 2 will end with them finding the lighthouse, Jim trying to get contact with the outside world and about 200 unexplained mysteries. How can anyone defend season 2? Season 2 is pure filler.

I disagree completely. Season two gave everyone what they screamed for in season one- backstory on Victor, talking to each other about all the crazy stuff, killing a monster, Sarah having to face up to her actions, etc.

It's the nature of the show. If they answer the mysteries then the show ends. They don't have the quality writers that it takes to reveal a mystery and push the characters through it, and into another situation to deal with.

The old lady from the bus is Victor's Mom. Why was she dancing in the rain like she'd just been released from a cage? Also, that "morphine" wasn't actually that and chick isn't having withdrawal, she's succumbing to the effects of whatever it was in there.

Also, I don't think the cave drawings are people idolizing the symbol. I think people are standing around the symbol with boats. The drawings beside it appear to be of people sailing away in boats. Maybe the symbol isn't a symbol but water flowing through land.

What if... everything is a trick? The Boy In White, the kids, the Ballerina, the monsters- all push the people towards the Lighthouse where the red monster thing lives and consumes them and traps their souls in Fromland? THAT would be a great and dark ending to the show!

Fire these writers and burn their writing books and computers with rocket fuel. This show cant stay on a storyline. Season 1 never closed. Season 2 never closed season 1 and just created a whole new story as if its new writers adding on more story everyday forgetting everything previously .. monsters hunting ppl but the ppl seem to go about life having casual conversations throughout the day and emotional drama scenes 99% of each episode not worried about the fact its slaughtering monsters walking around and they cant leave. If they go down a road they just come back. But no one ever tried to go a different way. No one ever tried anything. They just talk about getting married and relationship issues like life is normal. Forget that we dont kno where we are or how to leave and that body slaughtering things are trying to get us every 10 hrs. Lets just fold clothes and casually talk
