Beautifully shot and a fine sound track, I used to fish a stretch in winter until the new landowner removed the permission . Glorious memories with friends.

It's nice to see somebody handling smaller fish with respect. It so annoys me, when people catch larger fish, like Carp and Barbel and show them respect but smaller fish are sometimes just thrown back like a piece of rubbish. Lovely video.

Wow! What a fantastic vid. I'm from the Netherlands and wish we had rivers like you have. And I love the variety of species swimming around in those rivers. You never know what you're going to catch. That's making it extra special. Thx for uploading and tight lines.

I’ve got to tell you something... I love what you’re doing. I love you tube for the learning, the experience, for showing the differences between anglers and people in general, but of late I’ve become a little bored. However, you have great imagery, a story, a message, everything is so tight it kept me watching. This is how I think everything will go on yt in the end. Fantastic. 👍

It is if the roaches are in coma. Is that solely due to the cold water temperature ? I like this kind of angling videos with the love for nature so much. It seems Englishmen have a patent for it.

Watching this I am reminded of the Robert Traver poem although written about trout applies to any species. Most people no doubt are aware of it but repeated below just in case. I fish because I love to. Because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful, and hate the environs where crowds of people are found, which are invariably ugly. Because of all the television commercials, cocktail parties, and assorted social posturing I thus escape. Because in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing what they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion. Because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed, or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility, and endless patience. Because I suspect that men are going this way for the last time and I for one don't want to waste the trip. Because mercifully there are no telephones on trout waters. Because in the woods I can find solitude without loneliness. ... And finally, not because I regard fishing as being so terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant and not nearly so much fun.” ― Robert Traver Read more quotes from Robert Traver
