Wow - what an amazing film Thom - thanks for sharing As the film says it feels like a microcosm of our world - the clash between different lifestyles, the march of “progress”, the urgency of caring for the environment- all combined with the difficulty of accepting change - wonderful 🎉 Congratulations to the whole team

But when you look it becomes more familiar. Especially in places like Cornwall. Thank you for watching.

Thanks for sharing that Thom. Definitely a thought provoking watch. His actions at the end were obviously irresponsible, but i felt for Lee and the predicament that he found himself in. Would be nice to see the creek cleaned up and developed into a safe (and affordable) place for boat dwellers 👍

The CIC have removed tonnes of waste so far. I really think it will be somewhere very special when they’re done. Hopefully affordable, but time will show us if that’s the case.

Thanks and yes, this film reflects the current housing and poverty problems in the UK. On the river Lea, near to my home, there are now hundreds of narrow boats, some look to be well maintained but many are dilapidated and possibly dangerous but are still someone's home. Rents in London are so expensive, living on a boat is a much cheaper option and for some, living somewhere that they control, regardless of its condition, is their last bit of independence.

It may be the way I have to live in the near future. But with a kid, I’ll need a mooring that’s safe. And that’s where it becomes as expensive. We certainly live in interesting times

Yeah I love the emotions that are carried through this film. I'm just confused if it is meant to be a piece of art or kind of a documentary film. Like eventually it had all the information a foreigner like me would need to understand the topic. But it was not enough so it could create a message or let the viewer build an opinion on which side might be right or wrong. It's just a short film that touches ones heart. Thank you.

Great feedback. It is a documentary that we chose to Just ‘show’. We chose not to take a side and stay in the middle as if we were the mean tide mark. We were desperate to not persuade one opinion or another. Which was all very challenging to take this stance and make an interesting film.

Interesting, I'd heard half the story

A combination of bits and pieces from hearsay but not how they were interlinked! Nice little film.
