I’m 56 and this band is my favorite…they are unique and not like any other band …so awesome

I sometimes think it's us old guys that appreciate these young ladies the most! My wife was telling me the other day I've become a groupie in my mid 70's. I had to correct her on that - I've become a fanboy in my mid 70's. It's like music has come back to life and it's brought back more excitement and joy for this old dude than I ever expected to see again.
@jayhegener30288 ай бұрын
Exactly. I’m sometimes embarrassed by how much of a fanboy I am at 61. But it’s a joyous thing, so I just roll with it. It’s all good.
@aayala0018 ай бұрын
I had the same thoughts recently! At 55, I'm absolutely hooked on this band. The music these ladies are creating is fantastic. It's been quite some time since I've come across rock of this caliber - it's forceful, dynamic, and expertly crafted. These thoughts resonate particularly with those of us who grew up in the last century listening to iconic rock groups. I'm not suggesting that The Warning sounds dated; instead, they've skillfully revived the essence of rock, transforming it into something fresh that appeals not only to those aged 40 and above but undoubtedly also to the younger generations. Their ability to seamlessly blend classic and contemporary elements is genuinely impressive.

There is not a bad song in this performance at Teatro Metropolitan. It is by far the best quality concert to date. They also have some acoustic songs they performed that have excellent audio quality. One more thing. Pau, the drummer, does a cover of "Creep" that she performed during Covid. She covered the song as an Instagram challenge. If you watch her cover "Creep", just make sure you watch until the very end.

When you start watching some of their vlogs and after movies you will see times when they are in deed nervous. However when they hit the stage, all that goes away and magic happens. You've probably already seen this but I'll repeat it... when someone asks a TWA member what their favorite TW song is, we usually respond with "the last one we listened to". These ladies don't make bad songs. They're all great. I still listen to their first EP,

A 13 year old Pau singing Escape the Mind while accompanying herself on keys was what really captured my attention. Even their "tiny, baby voices" couldn't mask the hint of power she would develop and the lyrics are still so much more meaningful than most of the trash played in the US. Like many of TWA I had pretty much given up on music in the 70's. It wasn't until the lockdowns when I was spending a lot of time surfing the web and stumbled across bands like Nightwish and Sabaton that I had any interest again. Shortly thereafter I discovered The Warning and those are still my top 3 active bands.

One of the funnier stories they tell is about showing up for an opener and more or less being considered annoying little kids (they were 11, 14, and 16 or so at the time). Then they rocked the audience's faces off, and suddenly got some respect! Watching the two TEDx concerts from 2016 and 2017 will illustrate that pretty well.

The Warning "Breath" (live) kzbin.info/www/bejne/bajVpIhtj5yaepIsi=k32gZefJzIUp4DB- The song is actually sung by Pau on the piano in front of 8000 people. This is something special because Pau never wanted to play this song live. That's why there is usually just an audio track at the concerts during the intermission. The reason for this is that this song is very close to Pau, very personal. Here she makes an exception because of the tenth anniversary and because of the 8000 fans. She say a few words about this in the beginning. It's all subtitled in English (just turn it on) and you have to see it. Here's a little tip from me that many people will like, because you really don't have the best timing to interrupt songs in good places. Don't try to do this in the middle of vocals or guitar solos. And when you press pause, please go back 5 to 10 seconds so that we all can get back into the flow of the song. This was a general criticism that did not refer to this video, because there was only one pause here. Otherwise nice reaction.

Strap in and do them in order, there is an intermission while the Ladies change clothes, but during the intermission they play Pau's absolutely stunning song "Breath" over the PA, audience reaction is phenomenal....suggest continuing on in order of the playlist for this concert, or doing a livestream for the entire concert....the army will show up regardless. I agree with everyone else, stick with the Teatro Metropolitan concert and listen to every song. I can't wait for you to react to a song where Pau sings lead or shares lead with Dany. TW recently performed on Shiprocked and TWA posted a decent quality video of their entire set. Another channel (Katherine Keller) is in the process of posting separate videos of each song in the set from a spot in front of the stage and the audio quality is surprisingly good. I highly recommend reacting to those when you're finished with this concert. Many of the songs are the same and there are two new ones (SICK & HYCAD).

This song is bass driven allowing Dany's guitar to run free. Love how Dany lets the guitar distortion ring out on its own. The Spector bass Ale is playing is custom, but you can get a signature 4 string "Ale's Inferno" from Spector. There is an hour-long video of Ale teaching Dany the bass lines for "Z." It is really fun. Dany is her usual spontaneous self. Ale is a really good teacher, and she has so much fun teaching older sister. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYnNoJ6eaM9gepIsi=izV-yLR_UJ-oRUVB

*Z* now THAT'S how you open a set! some Fun Facts about *Z* : 1. *Z* has been their opener for numerous concerts... 2. the title of this song, "Z", is short for "GenZ" or "Generation Z"... they thought it to be "too much" so they shortened it to just "Z"... 3. yes, they do reference their song *Kool-Aid Kids* in the 2nd verse: Wear the blindfold, drink the tide Who will we destroy this time? Revolutionary Kool-Aid kids Happiness, the lowly traitor Kill the raw, one like, one prayer Disappointing how we're used to fall (I think that you should) 4. Pau does one of her three known screams in *Z* - "I THINK THAT WE SHOULD!" 5. this song, a cup of c0ffee, and a donut are the perfect start to the day! 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

They called the song “Z” in reference to Gen Z. This song along with Kool Aid Kids, Disciple, and XXI Century Blood are aimed at their generation, Gen Z, about the trappings of social media (media in general) and online influencers. While the lyrics present a negative view, the sisters have said that ultimately the message is a positive one that there is life outside of social media and that moderation is the key.

It's a vaguely _threatening_ tune, and just friggin' ... works. It's about "Gen Z", and how they feel about being raised in bubble-wrap and observing the world as it is in this time-frame, and being... disappointed and frustrated at being condescended to. And how it's so damn irritating, and perhaps... just perhaps... they "think that we should" burn it all down in retaliation and hope something better rises from the ashes. Perhaps a misplaced and reactionary thought, but everyone should take into account that these feeling are _there_ , and are real. We are dancing on a powder keg, and everyone is waving around burning lighters while doing it. Perhaps we all should realize what is going on... Another example of how incredibly the ladies can write. Lyrics are what first brought me to this band, and they continue to keep me a die-hard fan indeed.
